Sentes bowed to Thalia when she approached. "Yes, of course, my lady, I will excuse myself," he told her and stepped away. He approached the edge of the cave and flew up into the air, perching onto the branch of a nearby tree. He flex his talons a bit, trying to get used to have the metal attachments back on them. He didn't have his own pair, considering that he did not use them that much it was no surprise, so he was using one of the general stock Battleclaws, which were dully and unadorned metal. This one showed some recent use, having still a slight stain of blood on it and a chip missing from one of the pieces.

Katara nodded Senetes, then turned to the High Tytoness. "Yes m'lady?" she asked, her brow slightly furrowed in confusion.

Thalia led Katara with her wing to a corner, where the two would be well out of ear-shot from the other owls. Before she could even begin to explain, the High Tytoness found herself in tears. She sobbed on the shoulder of her companion for a few moments, before gripping her emotions and returning her teary gaze upwards.
"I-I don't know what to do." she sputtered. "I think I-I love him. Sentes. But, it is wrong. My mate, what would he think?"

Katara looked stunned for a moment, the realisation starting to sink in. "You and..... Sentes?" she choked out. Here her Tytoness was, happily mated to the handsome Tytus. She was ruler of the Pure Ones, and she was looking into this slipgizzle. "Are you sure this is wise?" she asked her Tytoness.
The Supreme Commander found herself doubting her Tytoness. She had spent years trying to impress the High Tytoness, until that Prue had left. Then Katara had spent the time trying to become closer, and she knew the High Tytoness well. This didn't seem like the HIgh Tytoness.
"Are you sure?"

Thalia heaved a sigh and sniffled slightly. "I don't know, Katara. Is there something wrong with me?" she glanced up at her friend, searching her eyes for her response. Thalia blinked and peered down at the ground, awkwardly shifting her talons.
"This is wrong, isn't it? I t doesn't belong. I love Tytus. Only Tytus. No one else." she said confidently, her chest feathers puffing out. But her swell of self-reassurance was merely momentary, and she soon returned to her previous meek stature.
What if that wasn't true?

Katara put one wingtip on Thalia's shoulder. "Are you absolutely sure that this is something that you want?" she said, all seriousness. Though the High Tytoness was her elder, Katara seemed to be ages older this moment. She leaned towards Thalia, so their beaks were almost touching.
"Whatever you do, however this goes, whatever happens, I will be behind you. I only question if it is something that YOU truly, absolutely want."

(OOC: I never saw this new signature... it IS kinda similar to mine. Have you ever even seen Adventure time before?)
"I do." Thalia nodded, blushing as though they were wedding vows to the one she now cared about. Her and her mate had somewhat grown apart lately, she often without seeing him for nights at a time, leaving a slit in her heart that had now been filled.
She loved Sentes, she wanted to spend time with him alone. The only thing restraining her was her own pride in the promise she had made moons ago to Tytus, her beloved mate. But was he really beloved anymore?
Her mind was telling her to pull away from him, he was of lower rank, he was foul and often cruel, he did not belong with her. It scolded her constantly. But her heart, her heart said very much so otherwise. It would gently whisper to her mind, whisper her emotions. Whisper her desires. She found she had not been able to sleep well of late, but she felt energized and fully of wit and tactic, as if Sentes was all she needed to live.
"Katara, I thank you for standing at my side through this. If I am indeed making a - foolish decision. Then I will learn from my mistakes. I just feel like this is wrong, yet so peculiarly right." she shook her head, straightening her posture. "Now I am simply babbling, I suppose."
"Tell me Katara, have you ever been in love?"

(OOC: I watched like, 4 episodes after you told me about Adventure Time. You were also talking about Bing and Spamcat, so I watched that too.)
Katara sighed, closing her eyes. "I did love once, but it was nothing. My friend decided to have him before me, and I feel as though relationships last a moment but friendships last for forever. My friend was much more important to me. I will never be wit him, but if he ever grows to love another, well, he's a lost cause for me."
She cracked her eyelids and peered out at Thalia, hoping against hope that Thalia would not associate Katara and Tytus. He wasn't worth the friendship, and Katara had no want for losing her adoptive older sister.
"So no, not really. Not truly."

Thalia nodded, her curiosity suddenly sparked by this unknown fact about her companion. She had been in love, which was not a surprise, all owls that had a heart would learn to love one day, but it was with whom that she wondered. Brushing this aside, she paced away and then turned on the heel of her talon thoughtfully.
"I should not cheat my heart, even if it is dishonest. No matter if I mask it and try my best to pretend I don't love someone else for the sake of my mate, that still does not mean I don't love Sentes anyway." she clucked her tongue against the roof of her beak.
"But thank you for your caution for me, if it were not for you I most likely would have died on several occasions. You are really a good friend, Katara, and I feel as if I don't reward you enough for everything you do."

Katara was still drifting through her memories of the early Tytus, when she had harboured a treasonous crush on him. She snapped back to the present, her obsidian eyes fixing back on Thalia.
"I live to serve you High Tytoness.I live to serve you, and the Pure Cause. I expect no reward, other then the satisfaction of your safety, happiness and the continuation of the Pure Cause. I need nothing more." she said. Her voice was quiet and soft, but filled with liquid steel. She was trying to convince herself of this, to move on from Tytus.
"Besides, I have you. I have my position. I have the Pure Ones, and the Pure Cause."

Thalia blinked, she could hear the doubt in her voice, her own will ironing the uncertainty out. She debated silently whether she should question her friend on it or simply move on, and ultimately she felt it best to award Katara with some secrecy. "Well, I am glad to hear that." she said.
"But if there is something you need to tell me, then do not hesitate. I could never be mad at you, you know that. We are too good of friends to squabble over secrets." with that, the High Tytoness dismissed Katara with a gentle gesture of her wing and left herself alone to think.

Katara bowed her head, then backed out of the room. She turned and leapt off the edge, her long wings extending, the sunlight filtering through her pure white feathers. The wind sang as is caressed Katara, its icy fingers cool and pleasant. Despite herself, Katara sighed in relief.
The secret she kept about Tytus had been a mere sliver in her talon, until she had learned of Thalia and Sentes's relationship. Her secret had come back full force, almost pushing Katara over the edge of her mental canyon.
What am I going to do about this? Katara asked herself. She was unsure as soon as she thought it what she was thinking about exactly. Her love for Tytus? Sentes and Thalia's affair? Or something else entirely different? She shook her head to clear the foreboding feeling creeping up on her, spreading like a disease and poisoning her mind. She had to escape.
She flew through the air, not thinking, but feeling. She had learned long ago, when she had been trapped in the first storm, that you must think and feel together as one. You could not let your mind go anywhere, but let your wings take you. You had to give yourself to the storm. If you were to think, you would surely crash. She emptied her mind, the methodical flapping of her wings soothing her. She let her mind drift off, into a state where she was flying as though she was in a trance.
Suddenly she felt a steady calmness in the air. Everything went silent, and her wing beats were the only sound. There was a humid, electric pulse in the air. Katara felt it in her gizzard, in her wings, in her heart, in her entire being. A storm was coming. Not just a physical one, but there was one looming over the horizon of the Pure Ones. The sky started to become more frigid and wrought with electricity, and so did the Pure Ones future. War was on the horizon. A Storm was on the horizon.
And Katara was ready.
