Night Flight [Open Rp!]

" That's good news at least " he grumbled before peering out into the storm. To his surprise he saw five dark shapes flying like phantoms through the storm. Whoever they were they were well armored, at first Nebulous thought they were pure ones until noticing their battle claws, they were ghastly tools for murder with barbed serrated edges that could shred an owl instantly. Instinctively Nebulous geared himself up with his armor and was about to head out into the storm when it hit him they were heavily out numbered, and out gunned. "Aaron look!" he whispered trying to get his attention.

"Why in Gluax are they flying through this storm?" If the group got to close, maybe they could build up some smoke from the fire? Aaron had been taught to fight against clawed owl when he himself was not, but Nebublous might not have, and their where more than two.

[littlewing]

" Quick put the fire out! i wouldn't want to pick a fight them if i were you, look at those battle claws. " As he spoke he was horrified to see they were approaching unnoticed an owl perched with his back to them. He was about to shout a warning to the owl but it was to late they plunged in their horrendous battle claws and it was all over. His limp body fell into the ferns, Nebulous managed to get a glimpse of the body before they carried it away to leave no evidence , it was an old speckled owl, his body was shredded with just one swipe of those battle claws.

Once they were gone, he whispered to Aaron "Who were those owls?!? "

" I have no idea." He said, trying to see them better without them being seen.

[littlewing]

As soon as the storm faded, they took off in the direction of the tree " We must inform the rest of the tree " he shouted over the wind as they sped through the night air, ignoring all else they carried on right until midday. When they arrived most owls were sleeping except a few guards.

Aaron flapped beside the slipgizzle, fighting the gale as they made there way back toward the great tree. As they flew, he watched night turn to day, and storm to clear skies. He pondered the information they would have to convey and struggling at best, and was glad to see that not all were asleep. He looked at Nebulous as if to say, "How do explain this?"

" I'm not quite sure, i suppose we should take it directly to the council and the king and queen " He answered trying to disguise the worry over what they had seen what felt like only moments ago. " And pray to Glaux they believe us " he murmured under his breath. He walked past a guard calling to him over his shoulder " Please wake the owls of the council if you would be so kind " He pleaded and then went straight for the main room were the council meetings were held.

Aaron took in what had been said, and followed them toward the hollow in the roots. The two snowy owls where already there. (Should we god mod and rp them?)

((OOC: Greathorned would rather we not, well just skip that bit and say they dismissed it with not enogh evidence))

Aaron flapped over to a branch, perching on it's knobby surface. "They didn't believe us, and I understand why, but I wish they had." He hooted.

"I suppose well have to take this mater into our own talons " he grunted angrily " Come on " he he said before armoring himself up "You better gear up for this one "

[alda]

"That sounds like a good idea." Aaron agreed. He found claws and armor that he could become accustomed to, flying into the air once he had.

By nightfall they had returned to the cape of glaux, to the spot were they witnessed the killing. "Here we are" he grumbled inspecting the trail of blood left by the still bleeding body of their victim as they carried it away. " This way " he called flying in the direction of the trail of blood. After about five minutes Nebulous called " Over here! " and dived away into the bushes. There he found the body of the victim "Well we found him " he said before searching the nearby area surrounding the body. He eventually found a blood stained piece of paper " Look " he called to Aaron, " It looks like some sort of hit list "

Following the scarlet thread of murder, Aaron grew grim of gizzard by the time they had found the poor bird's remains. "A hit list?!" The guardian read down what he could, all of the names being crossed out except for one. Phauna Strix, it read.

" These guys must be assasins or something, come on whoever Phauna Strix is, well have to stop them, any idea were she might be " He questioned
