Cleef awoke after feeling something hit him, he opened his eyes and noticed that it had only been Tinker tossing a piece of wood at him. As Cleef became more and more awake he noticed that something was bothering Tinker, fore he was at the entrance of the hollow looking out with great concentration.
Cleef walked over and looked out, he didn't see anything in particular, he looked at Tinker, then followed his gaze until he was looking directly where Tinker was. Cleef didn't see anything but Tinker must of because he didn't break his focus.
Cleef felt a tickle on his back again, remembering that he had felt it during the day, he was starting to get annoying. but hadn't it been in a different spot last time? thought Cleef to himself. Cleef swiveled his head until he could look down his back............and saw something that made him catch his breath..........it was a huge desert tarantula, Cleef swiveled his head back to his front, wilfed, and held his breath. He didn't want to do anything loud, because it would surely alert anyone around them. Cleef looked at Tinker and whispered "A little help with this thing that's on my back." Cleef then looked at the spot Tinker was so concentrated on once more, hoping that Tinker didn't think him an idiot and leave the large spider.

Tinker looked over at Cleef, slightly irritated. Couldn't the small owl hear that there was something out there? Tinker squinted in the nearly complete absence of light, and saw a flicker of movement on Cleef's back, with far too many legs to be healthy. Tinker again slipped a glimpse out the hollow enterance. As far as he could tell, there were no unfriendly eyes peering back. In one quick movement, Tinker jumped passed the hollow entrance to have a closer look at Cleef. On his back, Tinker saw a large, brown spider crawling up his companion. A brief, but hilarious though about the relative size of the two creatures and who was really crawling on whom crossed Tinker's mind, but was quickly shut out by more important things. Tinker planned for a long moment, then quickly reached over and snapped the spider off Cleef's back, crushing its midsection at the same time. Tinker hoped that that was not the part of the spider containing the poisons. He quickly dropped the spider and tried to use his tongue to clear out all the foul tasting juices.

Cleef took a glance at the spider and noticed the coloration "Don't lick that!" Cleef quietly snapped "It's juices won't kill you but could make you terribly ill if it get's into you're body." Cleef walked over to tinker and wiped off most of the juice with his wing. "Ew" Cleef said under his breath as he shook some of the juice from his wing. Cleef then looked back out of the hollow. I sure hope that commotion I caused wasn't to loud. he thought

Tinker nodded thankfully and went back to peering out the entrance. The moon was just beginning to peek over the top of the trees, allowing Tinker to begin discern basic shapes. Outside, all he could see was bare branches. Perhaps he hadn't heard anything anyway. He turned to Cleef and said "Do you see anything? We need to go."

Cleef peeked outside once more "I don't see anything." Cleef looked at Tinker "Are you sure you're ready for this?" Asked Cleef. He himself was getting a little nervous. He was recollecting his dreams from last night, they wheren't helping at all.

Collyn waited quietly on the a branch, just out of view of the night, his ebony feathers blending in completely with the night. He felt the eyes of the owl known as Tinker burn into his feathered pelt. Surely he doesn't see me! He would have murmured to his partner about my presence... The black barn owl thought hard about what he was to do, it looked as though they were about to leave. I wanted to go, I WANT to go...I know how that evil "academy" works, frinkin' owls moon blink others becuase they are too weak to keep functioning captives! Collyn gave up and vanished in the night sky above the hollow where the two owls stayed-then he dove down just to make his appearance more sudden and unpredictable. "Do you need help with your dauntless feat?" He spoke in a stern voice that pulsed throughout the hollow. "A slipgizzle could be useful, especially one that blends in with the night."

Cleef's head jerked towards the hollow's entrance and he began to walk closer to it. He could only make out a shadowy streak "If you want to help us then why are you still flying. It would be easier and quieter if you landed so we wouldn't risk alerting anyone." Cleef said this but stood right in the middle of the hollow entrance. If the new owl decided to land he'd have to do so on some outside branch nearby. Cleef didn't want the owl to land inside because he wasn't for sure of who this owl was.

Collyn chuckled and landed on an outside branch. "No ones out right now. I have been watching you two since you," He directed to Cleef. "left your father. I know all your plans and what you are going to do." Collyn rotated his head to the hollow nearby with the maps and scrolls. "That's my hollow right there..." He started. "I worked for St. Aegolius as a slipgizzle many times, I can also steal something without anyone knowing besides myself-thus explaining the important parchments. I still work for those idiots." Collyn stopped and looked at the two owls. "If you deny my aid in your mission, I will not hold a grudge, but help always helps."

Cleef looked directly at the owl "I would gladly accept your help, but since my partner here" Cleef indicated Tinker "was already helping me first, he must also agree with your help too." Cleef looked at Tinker for his answer.

"Gaaah!" Though Tinker "An Owl! I knew it! Why couldn't I see him?" His mind was still in complete disarray as Cleef conducted his introductions. Cleef turned meaningfully towards him. Obviously he was meant to say something. Tinker paused, quickly replaying the last few seconds in his mind. "Yes, of course. I don't mind if you help. But I would like to know your name before we begin."

Collyn nodded. "My name is Collyn. Pleased to meet you two. May I ask for your names?" Collyn waited silently. I hope I don't just vanish on them while still being next to them. My feathers can blend in well, but too well sometimes.

Cleef squinted at this owl, Collyn , for he had seemed to disappear and reappear in the darkness. "Right then. Judging by the time of night the leader is probably already on his stroll. Do you think you could find out where he is so we can intercept him?"
