“Speed, maneuverability, and accuracy are key in a dogfight. If you miss your shot or slow down too much, you're dead. Turn too tight or not tight enough, you're dead."
"Sometimes the only way to achieve peace is war. But that's a rare occurrence."
"I only do what i believe is necessary. Nothing more."
"Those who meddle with time usually never survive. Me? I've got friends in high places."
"A good person never intentionally hurts others, but always take responsibility for the casualties they cause."
"A remarkable bird once told me that there was a limit to what a person could do alone. This gave me the drive to prove him wrong."
Name: Hunter Aurelius Dracon
Alias: Angel
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Species: Philippine Eagle
Kingdom: None Currently
Position: Wandering Warrior/Assassin
Appearance: His eyes are a vibrant cyan color and the feathers and spots that would usually be a tawny brown and dark brown are black and dark grey.
Description: Hunter is a very solitary bird, and while he enjoys making friends, he doesn’t socialize very often, he fights, flies, and pretty much does everything alone. He loves a good dogfight and loves protecting people who have a hard time protecting themselves. He also loves helping people with their problems. He dislikes overly flirtatious birds. He hates creatures who seems to the think the weak and helpless are below them and try to hurt those they believe are below them in the process of trying to gain power.
Personality: Hunter is a very charismatic bird and loves to tease his friends when he hangs out with them. Although, they never last very long, as with his occupation, they tended to die fairly quickly in the past. Now, he tries to avoid relationships as much as possible, even though he's very friendly. In a fight, he's about as cold as you can get and does not show any mercy.
Strengths: Hunter flies at higher speeds than any owl, partially because he’s an eagle, but he is smaller than most eagles and has wings that are a bit larger than usual. Plus his lower legs have an odd mutation that allowed for the growth of flight feathers on his legs for extra maneuverability while in flight. Speed and Agility are his most important strengths, but he’s smart, and invents and tinkers with things constantly. His talons are also stained black, mainly because he does some work as a blacksmith, how else would he make the blades of his weapons?
Weaknesses: Hunter strives to be the best and to protect everyone he can and keep them out of harm's way. However, He can be slow to trust others, and is a lone wolf. He prefers to fight ALONE. Mainly because he relies on stealth in the beginning of a fight. Hunter is vulnerable to someone with equal or higher skill, and while he is a great strategist because of his brilliant mind, he's not an expert like Grand Admiral Thrawn from star wars, who is a tactical genius. Although, Hunter's got a pretty hefty weakness for coffee, as long as it was good coffee used as bait or a bribe, he'd (usually) go right along with those who gave it to him. Hunter has also been known to try and save anyone who's in trouble, and it has nearly been his downfall many, many times.
History: Hunter is from Australia, where his parents had been taken as exotic pets before they died. He's been adventuring around the world ever since he learned how to fly. He learned to blacksmith from an old friend, and since he loved to tinker, he ended up constructing several inventions, including a pair of functioning hidden blade vambraces that he now wears on his legs. The steel used to make the blades is exceptionally tough and still shines and remains sharp after years of use since being constructed, partially because of how well they’re maintained. THese weapons allow Hunter to excel in combat, because many believe he is unarmed whenever he fights. He occasionally uses throwing knives in combat as well.
The wind whistled in Hunters ears as he dove through the clouds, his wings folded against his sides and his talons tucked into his body. He extended his wings about a quarter of the way to increase handling and extended his legs so the flight feathers there could grip the wind. He shot towards the ground, vapor pouring off of his wings from the high speed as he pulled up and ducked below the tree line. He banked and rolled as he shot through the gaps between the trees, dodging branches, tree trunks, and the occasional rock as he closed in on his target. His target was a small squadron of Pure Ones that he had been tracking for the past three hours. They never heard him coming. He had burst through the tree canopy and then cut the wings off the the rearmost owls after unsheathing and fully extending his hidden blades, which, at full length, were practically longswords. He ducked under the third and then slashed their chest and belly open before ramming the fourth and then shoving one of the blades through their chest and out their back. The fifth and last Pure One heard the commotion, from the screeches of pain and shock from their comrades and turned their head to look just in time to see Hunter pull the blade out of the other owl’s chest and fling them down to the ground. Hunter looked right at the remaining Pure One and then let loose a deafening scream, much like Kludd’s during the escape at Saint Aggies’ in the Legend of the Guardians movie before throwing himself forward with two powerful wing beats, and shoved both swords through the owl’s skull. Blood sprayed as Hunter removed the blades and sheathed them. He would clean them later. He thought as he watched the owl’s body tumble through the canopy of trees before he spread his wing wide and then beat them, flying away from the now blood splattered trees.
