*A small glimmer of light catches your eyes. You gaze upon it with unbelief, the smallest sliver of light was joined by another. Two specks of light in an infinite darkness awakens you from your state of slumber. Reinvigorated with the passion of a thousand suns, you leap up from where you sat and bounded towards the sight of those two tiny glimmers of hope. The lights get closer and you feel yourself getting warmer. The light illuminates your soul. You finally reach the two lights, gasping for breath and shaking from the exertion that you haven't experienced in a long time. You hold your hands out and touch the two lights. They then absorb themselves through your skin, making it glow. Starting from your hands, the light spreads across your whole body until the only thing you can see is the light. Then everything fades to black. The light was gone. Then from everywhere and nowhere, lights begin to wake themselves from the slumber of darkness that had been cast upon them like a spell. You begin to feel the warmth that they are giving to you. They are giving you warmth to keep you alive. They don't want you to die. The two lights you absorbed emerge from your hand, brighter than they had been before. Then, one more light comes from your chest and you begin to fade away. First your vision, then your legs. Finally, your head crashes to the ground and you assimilate with the ground. As your last moments are upon you, you can recall all of the fun times you had when everything was alive. Your vision fades to black as you take your last breath. One word escapes from your mouth "light". The instant your body dies you feel reinvigorated, as though you are in a new body, a healthier and more fit body. The light is now dimmer than before but you can see more clearly. The lights aren't specks. They're people! You run over to them with a new sense of vigor in your bones and your muscles and your heart. You reunite yourself with them. You spend the rest of time with them. Making memories and sharing them. Making new relationships and perhaps even love. You are old and weary. Your great grandchildren are by your side. You are dying. As you take your last breath, you remember sitting in silence, waiting for life*
