Prolouge
"Yes, Soul! Yes! Keep them flappin'! Make sure to power stroke!"
Starexulus' voice rang out.
I'm doin' it Da, I'm flyin'!" Answered The young female, her large white and black wings thrusting.She tipped her wings, banking into a curve, and headed to the Hollow. Her large, white, heavily feathered talons extended, and she grabbed the hollow's opening ledge. Her wings folded in, and she walked inside, past her father, and pinto the nest, her black beak gaped, and she settle down to rest. Her watched as her mother returned, two voles in her beak, and as soon as she flew in, her Da flew out. Her parents were constantly hunting, this winter was scarce, but they made the best of it. Robinus began starting up a small fire, making sure the whole tree wouldn't light. Suddenly, the giant head of a eagle owl peered in, he was panting urgently "General Robinus scandiaca and Starexulus scandiaca, we have important news"

Soul watched as the eagle owl walked in, barely fitting, and her father swooped at the perfect time.
The eagle owl caught his breath before contenuing "The Ice talons have formed again. The kielian leauge is restarting, the old ways are returning"
The old ways! Soul exclaimed in her head Like Lyze of Kiel! I'm going to be a cadet, and a solider! and Fly with Kielian Snake!
"Soul!' Robinus snaped
Soul blinked, snapping out of her daydream "Yes, mum?"
Robinus looked at her "Get some rest. We have a long way to Dark fowl island, then in a moon or so after that, You'll begin your cadet training"
Soul fluffed up in exitement, closed her eyes, and soon began snoring.

Skylar: Female Snowy, Enemy/Rival to Soul, a fellow cadet.





Chapter one

After a long flight to Dark Fowl, and two long moons, It was time to make the final trip back to Dark Fowl for training, along the way, Soul had met several other owlets like her, flying with their parents, she had met three owlets who'd she became friends, Rabbit, Fang, and Altarus, the three had got in in a squabble together mid-flight with a young owlet named Skylar, a female snowy, in which the parents had to break up.

"I can't belive we're almost there!" exclaimed Fang,land becoming closer, and closer as the owlets flew.
"Oh come one,Fang!" replied Rabbit "You act like it was some made-up fairy tale, or something!"
Soul, however, remained quiet, all the way until they landed.
"We're here..." muttered Soul
"WE'RE HERE!" she squaked with exicement, flapping her wings wildly.

Chapter one - Cont'd

Soul, after calming down, went with her friends to get each their first set of battle claws. She exaimned her talons, which were a unatural silver color, unlike other owl's black talons. They entered the cave quietly, waiting for instructions. A owl flew in, and nugged her into Orf's chamber. She waited, and Orf, a elderly, yet still strong-looking great grey, and a legendary blacksmitch.
"Hold up 'yer talons, lil' girl, let me look at 'cha"
Soul help up her silver talons, which were met with a loud gasp
"The silver talons! The prophesized one!" Another owl skawed
"Dear Girl, do you know what your little silvery talons there mean?" Orf asked.
"No, sir"
"They are only caused by flecks, and are extremely rare. They allow a owl to wear fire claws without damaging their talons, or no battle claws at all, they are a wonderful gift. Now, just let me size you, abd I'll get to work on your fireclaws right away"
Soul's beak gaped, and she blinked.
after about twenty-five minutes, Soul re apeared to her friends, light, yet extremely sharp battle claws were strapped around her talons, they were a bitch-black dyed metal, and blue-ish green, bonk colored, at the tips, where they sizzled wildly, hissing. They had jagged edges on the sides, with hot coals emubed, bonk ones, that sizzled and sputted.
"How do they look?" she asked.
