Chapter XX During Tweener in the dining hall, about two months after healing, the Dining hall was filled with voices. Everyone was talking about it, and Swarr knew what. Muna approached the center of the room, and spoke out. "As you all... should know, I have a disease that causes my bones to be weak. Because of me getting older, they get weaker, and weaker. So I, Must resign my duties as Ryb. Taking my place will be my best student, Swarr."Swarrs eyes widened immensely, and he began choking on his milkberry tea. He had not expected this, all he knew that she was resigning and joining the sisters. Everyone in the chaw congradulated him and talons clicked on the wood like clapping. Swarr spoke out, "But Muna! I...I don't know how to be a teacher... A leader!" Muna tilted her head, and said "Swarr, you know how, I taught you to the best of my abilites, follow my examples, you are a natural teacher,". Swarr thought about it, then he turned totwards Muna, who was standing beside a crying burrowing owl, and nodded. "Swarr, do me a favor, fly the volcanic winds in the beyond, it has always been my dream, but my condition makes it impossible."... From the sky fell a mix of ash and rain. Thunder cracked in the distance, along with the moan of one of the volcanos. Swarr shut his mind down, and became the air. He followed the currents, which carried him to the mouth of the volcano. He dipped into it, and back out. Chance was lucky to accompany him, watching with amazment. Swarr had a sudden thought, I am a natural, both at the Air, and at teaching others, I can do this. Swerving around to the second volcano, he dipped in again, and deeper this time. He blackes out, and awoke in a freefall, falling among hot rocks. He scanned, and saw his friend Chance, with Alysa behind him.

Chapter XXII During a day teaching a class with new owlets, two of which were orphaned, Jus and Dud visited. "Congradulations Swarr!" they both said in equal tones. Owlets in thr backround began chattering, "Why are they congradulating him?", "Didn't you know he wingfasted with Alysa?" Swarr turned around, "Quiet, young ones. So since all of you are on the brink of fully fledging, wecwill have to read from the books."A series of Awwhs arose from the small crowd. They opened their books and Swarr directed him, then a strange question came out of a small owl, "Are you named after a polar bear?" she asked. Swarr turned his head and said "Yes, I am, why do you ask, young'un?" the little owl responded "Well, before my parents died, I met a polar bear named Swarr."

Chapter XXIII It has been about a year, and Alysa laid her first egg, sadly it was deformed and would never hatch, so they ridded of it. A day later, another call to arms popped up, which would be a tragic day for Swarr. They arrived at the battlefield near St. Aggies, it would be a 3 way battle, Guardians vs. St aggies and the Pure Ones. "Alysa! Squad of 5 Tytos to your left! I'll handle this ragtag group of Aggie's!" Swarr called to Alysa, who nodded and turned. Swarr looked torwards the group he would face alone, 13 of them, luckily they were not trained in combat. Using his knowledge he used a warm draft to rocket straight into the group. Upon closer inspection, only half of them had battleclaws, and the claws looked outdated and blunt. Killing two great greys in the group, the group split off and flew to crevices to hide in, "COWARDS," Swarr called to them, and turned to support Alysa. The Pure Ones she faced called for support, and several more joined. Alysa fought relentlessly, and Swarr counted the kills, One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven......Alysa was unnexpectedly nailed in the chest by a sharp stone, Swarr gasped and saw a Pure one with another sharp stone, about to throw that one at Alysa aswell. Swarr quickly rushed torwards the tyto, and the owl threw the other stone at him, slicing his eye. He broke the owl's wing and went down to Alysa. "Swarr, I'm going to die...""No, No you're not, we....we can get you fixed, y...you will heal, you will! You have too!""I'm bleeding, it won't stop,""b...but we need eachother! If you will die, I...i'll kill myself so I can be with you!""I will never forgive you if you do that, I love you too much,"Swarr cried for a few minutes, silently sobbing over the screeched and clashing above. "Wh...what will I do?!?!""Continue your life, be happy, teach the young ones............. have a child.Alysa began running out of breath, and her heart slowed, and Swarr spoke, "I lift you up to Glaumora, and I will join you someday, but you are still with me in spirit."Swarr carefully removed a blue battle claw from her talons, and replaced it with one of his plain silver ones. He looked up to see that the Pure Ones have retreated, and St. Aggies had surrendered

Chapter XXIV Swarr mourned and mourned for days, but his spirits would soon be lifted up. Weeks after the death of his beloved mate, Swarr was called to investigate an assassination. Flying over the forest of Tyto, he arrived to his destination, he arrived to a gruesome scene. A dead male Great Horned lie near a dead female. No, she's breathing! Swarr thought as he saw her chest heaving up in down, covered in blood. The female's head shot up quickly, and she spoke desperately, "I don't care about my life, but my egg! Please save my egg! Pl... please s.. sa.... save.......... egg"The female's chest stopped, and her head fell down. Swarr approached a clump of moss, and upon lifting it up, an egg popped out, which looked as it might hatch soon. Swarr took it, and lifted the unknown owl's souls to Glaumora. Two days later in the middle of a day during a storm, the egg tooth popped through the shell. Supplied with a cricket from his old friend, Dalki, a tiny female plopped out of the egg. Swarr looked at the chick. Alysa would be proud, this is not her blood daughter, but her soul daughter.Swarr named the chick Lye, after his mate's favorite plant.

Chapter XXV Swarr sat in his hollow, all his depression was removed by the young owlet. Lye was playing with an owlinpoppin gifted to her by Jus, Swarr's old friend. Lye set the owlinpoppin down and waddled torwards Swarr. "Da, When will you tell me about my real parents?" Lye asked. Swarr looked up from thebook and looked at her, "I promised I would tell you when you learned to fly, you are a sensitive owl, it may hurt you to know right now." Lye huffed, and walked out to the edge of the hollow, and looked down at her budging feathers. Lye would fly soon, and Swarr knew that. Swarr watched the little owl, so curious and smart, but sensitive. ... "Da... you promised!" Lye said to Swarr after flying for the first time in her life. Swarr sighed, "Okay... here it goes. I know nothing about your parents, but i know that one day, I was sent to investigate the assassination of a slipgizzle of ours, your father. When I arrived, I found your mother, dying and pleading for me to take your egg. I brought you here, and cared for you." Lye had specks of tears in her eyes, but held back.

Chapter XXVI Swarr was called, along with every single owl in the tree. The King announced that a full scale war was unfolding, with the Pure ones and St. Aggies already fighting. he asked for volunteer fighters. Families that cared for children, volunteered to leave to fight. Swarr immediately volunteered, with Lye volunteering immediately after. There was an ongoing rumor that the Others would be in the war, but The others no longer existed except as stories, or so Swarr thought. Before leaving, Swarr noticed pitch black clouds in the sky.

Chapter II The father, named Urax, was watching his chick, growing up. Hessity was looking at the snow, she hatched 3 weeks ago but that was in the fall, this was winter. Snow fell from the dark grey sky. She looked at her father for more stories while her moher was away, she cared about her mother very little, but adored her father. "Da, tell me Why you think you're a disgrace?" Hessity said, and Urax responded, very angrily, "because I HESITATED, I WAITED TO LONG, my Tupsi was to kill my aunt, but i waited to kill her! She died of an illness, and i could't slay anyone else! So i had to havr a child, a child who would redeem their now TAINTED bloodline" Hessity breathed slowly, and said "Da, I will make you proud, I will be strong, Vanquish the Impure, and heal our bloodline, I will become a captain like grandda, I will rid of my IMPURE name, Hessity, and it shall be repaired by purity."Hessity finally told her father something he never knew, "Da, I can't hear out of my left ear."

Chapter IV Hessity stood in the dark corner of the hollow in the spruce tree, wearing rusty battle claws. Her mother appeared through the opening, and Hessity jumped on her, leaving her on her back with a wing completely torn off "NO! PLEAAASE DON'T DO THIS! YOU ARE MY DAUGHTER, HESSITY! I LOVE YOU!" her mother pleaded, her father behind her smashed the nearly hatching egg, a pink blob rolled out, a miserable brother, and her father's Tupsi was completed, now hers. She whispered into her mothers earslits, "You gave me life, now you give me passage into the pure ones," upon saying those words, her mother became enraged "Y, YOU MISERABLE PIECE OF RACDROPS, POOR EXCUSE FOR A DAUGHTER, THE PURE ONES ARE...." her mother was silenced as one blade slowly sunk into her heart. She and her father flew out the hollow and met with a Pure one, who confirmed the Tupsis.

Chapter V Hessity stood in a line with other tytos, and the High tyto standing in front of her. He walked past few owls, staring at each of them, then naming them. The male sooty beside her, who was shaking because of nervousness, was named dustyn, a pure name, but less than others. Then, he stopped in front of her. Hessity stared him in the eyes, the high tyto squinted, and said "You show no weakness, Ryth." Hessity, widened her eyes, but still kept them locked on the High tyto, and nodded. Ryth, I, am Ryth! Ryth is a name of no weaknesses, Hess-Ryth thought. She waited until naming was done, and then went into training. An old Barn owl watched her fly, trying to find which she eould do well in, stealth, support, soldiering, and more. Ryth exceled in stealth, and was assigned to a stealth unit.

Chapter VII Ryth tracked the Great Gray to a very hidden cave, well, she didn't, Gallyn did, she just found the area he lived in and that marvelous Crow spotted it out, Ryth betted he could spot a tiny diamond in a castle from a mile away. approaching the cave, Gallyn waiting in a nearby brance dor the deed to be done, she entered. "Ah, welc.... PURE ONE!!! uh, im sorry im not smithing right now." the great gray said, more like great black due to the soot. Ryth walked around the cave, her battle claws clinking on the ground. "Hm, i don't want to have you make anything SPECIAL, i'm just imterested in those black claws, how quickly do they slice through flesh and feather?" The great gray was very nervous, and quickly said "V..very well, uhh... I'll give them to you if...if you ha...have any uhh... animal skins like mouse or...." Ryth quickly interrupted him, "How about for free? I hope it comes COVERED IN YOUR BLOOD!" she said, quickly extending her talons flying through the incredibly small space. The great grey grabbed a prong, dipped a piece of iron in it, and it quickly heated up, pulling it back out ready to fight. The heat of the iron kissed her face as it flew by her face, this great gray was an excellent smith but a horrible fighter. The great gray stumbled after swinging and missing a second time, and Ryth took the chance to strike. Ryth felt the blade sink, and felt warm blood on her talons. She look and saw the gray looking at his chest. He fell over and a breeze went through the cave Mission completed 2 days early, and a new pair of strong claws.
