Part I Story of Swarr Chapter I "It's freezing, the chick won't live if we don't find a way to keep warm, it's still too cold with me warming it up," the female great horned said to the husky male. The male replied "But how would we warm it? I could hunt for some coillers, maybe start a fire?" the female raised her voice a small bit so it could be heard through the blasting wind. "Nockr, you won't be able to survive in those winds, you will die!" Nockr stared at his mate rather sorrowfully, "Umbra, I have to, the young one won't survive!" through the bickering the chick shook, he was dying. Nockr lifted off even though Umbra told him not to. ... Nockr couldn't see, the snow stung his eyes, he had to land. He found a large cave that would protect him. Going into the cave, a large voice bellowed at him, "What are you doing in my cave?" looking around a large clump of snow rose up No, a polar bear! Nockr thought as this huge beast arose. Nockr looked at it and without thinking, started saying, "Help me, please help! My chick is dying to the cold! My mate can't keep warming it, it's too cold!: the bear grunted, and turned to rip a very large clump of fur out, giving it to the desperate father. Nockr thankfully said, "What's you name so I can remember you for what you have done?" the bear laid down and grunted tiredly "Swarr is my name".

Chapter II "So Da, I was named after a polar bear?" Swarr asked, very interested in the story. Nockr churred silently, "Yes, Swarr, that bear saved you by giving me the warm fur, it warmed you so much your mother didn't have to sit on you all the time," Nockr looked around the small fir, it was the only tree he could find in this firth. Umbra returned with two voles, giving a whole one to her mate, and splitting one between her and her owlet. She looked at Swarr and said ecxitingly "Ready for your first fur on meat?" Swarr bobbed up and down so happily, screeching "Yes! Yes I am mummy!" Swarr swallowed the vole so fast he nearly choked on it, being scolded not to eat so fast. He turned to look at his mother sitting on an egg, in which his father was taking a break from. I wonder wether it's a brother or a sister, oh how I want a sister! Or wait didn't I want a broyher? Swarr thought, he couldn't decided which he hoped for. He turned to his mother and asked "When will it hatch, mummy?" Umbra looked at her child and churred, He is so impatient, she thought. "Your brother or sister will come soon, dear, just give it time",

Chapter III Swarr was poking his head out of the shaggy old fir tree, which he didn't mind. He scanned the horizon of the dark night, with the small noticeable shine of the moon at its peak, through the light clouds shedding a small amount of snow onto the firth of fangs. Swarr was caring for his sibling, the brother or sister of his in the egg, while his parents searched for food, which was scarce this time of year. Swarr turned to the egg and put one of his ear slits up to the shell. I hear him! Or her? he thought excitedly as he heard movement inside the egg.he turned back to the hole in the light bark leading outside, and listened. Among the waves crashing and ice grinding againsnt both the shore and eachother, Swarr heard the feint flapping of one pair of wings. Swarr thought to himself, It must be mummy or da, we don't have any neighbors or visitors. out from the light snow burst a large owl, it looked like a great horned but looked differant. It grabbed lunged into the hollow and snatched the egg, then turned to Swarr, with cold dead eyes, the immense owl grabbed Swarr. Swarr calmed down after sobbing after several minutes and began asking questions. "Where are you taking me?" the immense owl, a female, said harshly "St. Aggies, where your new family awaits," Swarr asked "What about my mummy or da?" the strange owl replied, rather agitated "They don't want you anymore!" Swarr didn't believe her, mummy and da always loved him, he decided the stopped asking questions, but one more slipped, "Are you a great horned?" The immense owl looked offended, and looked down at him in her talons and screeched "I'm an eagle owl you stupid twit! St. Aggies doesn't let you ask questions, because if you do, THIS HAPPENS!" suddenly the eagle owl dropped the egg, cracking on stones below, a pink blob rolling out. My little sister, no, my sister, not my sister, Swarr thought, with tears running down his face, "YOU WILL NOT TAKE ME!" Swarr screeched, biting off a talon of his captor. Immediately after he fell unconcious.

Chaper IV Swarr awoke on the rocks, unharmed but startled. The snow was now coming down fast, a snowstorm. By how light it was getting, it was turning dawn. "Mummy? Da?" Swarr called out. He tried to cry, but his tears froze. Suddenly, a white creature walked out of the snow, and said with a soothing hushed voice "Poor child, walk with me to my den, where you will be warm". ... Arriving in the den, the air grew warmer and more lighter. Swarr hadn't said a word since the walk, then he realised the creature looked like the one from his Da's stories. "Are you a polar bear?" Swarr outright blurted, not giving any thoughs about the mean eagle owl when he asked if it was a great horned. The creature turned its head and said, "I am an arctic fox, owlet. Follow me to the back of the dem where youncan meet the pups, they will keep you company while I hunt." The fox lead Swarr to the back of the den, where the fox introduced herself as Mazia, and her pups, biggest male named Edgar, the female Chass, and the smaller male Tev. The fox left the den immediately after to hunt, in the meantime Swarr tried to talk to the pups. "Hi," he said, with the pups just responding with a confused head tilt. "Can you talk? he asked, yet again the pups tilted their heads. Swarr took that as a no and hopped around in the den with them.

Chapter V It has been a week since Swarr was taken. He has already gained half his flight feathers. Swarr was playing with the pups, who still couldn't talk, but were fun nonetheless. Mazia walked into the den, but had no food, the 7th time in 3 days. Mazia laid down and wimpered, saying "We won't survive, me or my pups. Oh, what will I do? I could..." the mother turned to Swarr, saliva dripped from her jaws, she lunged and tagged Swarr with her teeth, under the wing. Swarr was closer to the entrance since she missed, and he bolted for it, too scared to speak. The sun blinded him as he came out of the ground, the sun was just over the horizon, shimmering off the snow. The blinding light caused Swarr to trip, falling into deep snow and being covered. Don't move, she will find me, Swarr thought as he heard panting and pawpads smacking on the snow. Swarr didn't notice he had fallen asleep, everytging was quiet. He jumped up from his snowy hideaway and met the sun going down, I've slept all day? Swarr was thinking, as he walked. Swarr walked until the moon was at his highest, and this moment he really thought he would die. Sleet began coming down lightly, then heavily. "The water will freeze on me!" he thought aloud, hobbling torwards a fallen fir tree. Once inside, he was greeted by the mercy of Glaux, insects everywhere to be seen, and icicles dripping to create a pool of fresh water.

Chapter VI 1 week later... Swarr looked down at himself, all fledged, he looked like his mother. He remembers, all the horrible things that have happened to him. Swarr stepped out of the log and looked at the moon, almost nearing the top of the sky. Swarr had memories of seeing his unhatched sibling be murdered, his sister laying among the liquid and shell of the egg. He cringed at the though, and hooted deeply, and tried branching on the rocks. He failed branching many times, he just needed help from another owl, but who? Swarr has met only one owl while living down there, an owl that said it was a pygmy, and just hooted to 'buzz off' when he tried asking for help. While branching, a voice called to him "No, no, no, you're doing it all wrong, you have to concentrate, and you have too much power in your jumps," Swarr looked behind to find an female owl, a spotted owl, like the fox mother has taught him about. Swarr tried again, and made it perfectly. "Thank you, I'm Swarr, who are you?" the strange owl said to him in response "My name is Muna, I'm the weather Interpritation ryb of the Great tree, are you orphaned? Swarr looked at Muna, Y...yes I am orphaned," Swarr said. Well you can come with me to the Great Tree, but you may need to learn to speak Hoolian, and to fly of course". ... Muna and Swarr lifted off immediately after Swarr learned the basics of flying and a major amount of Hoolian, and they were already over the sea of Hoolimere. As soon as they flew through a dense cloud, a giant tree on a small island with many owls flying around came into view.

Chapter VII "Swarr, I welcome you to the great tree. There are chaws in which you will study and learn about specific skills. Leading the chaws are teachers called Rybs. You will be living in a hollow with an great horned named Alysa, a female, she was orphaned too and rescued soonly after. If you have any questions feel free to ask, you will be picked for a chaw tomorrow". Muna said as she was standing with Swarr outside his new hollow. Swarr shook his head and looked at the rising sun, Muna flew off and Swarr headed inside. Swarr was greeted by a beautiful great horned, who was tying mosses togeather. Swarr looked for a second, then spoke "Uh... hello i'm Swarr," the owl looked up then said "Hello, im Alysa, if you don't mind me asking, but your name sounds polar bear-ish, were you named after one?" Swarr studied this owl, grey feathers with brown circling her face, honey gold colored eyes, "Y...yes i was actually, saved my life from freezing as a chick". Alysa looked up at him and hooted joyfully "That is very neat, I was just named after my grandmother, i was orphaned when my parents were killed in a forest fire, my nest maid saved me," Swarr stared at Alysa, not looking away "I was orphaned when a an owl saying something about St. Aggies, i asked questions and she killed my little sister, dropped the egg, then i bit her talon off". Alysa stared at him in amazement "Wow, but how'd you live?"Swarr responded "well, I was taken in by a fox who after a week tried to eat me, then i found a log to live in until I could fly". Alysa finished the moss bed, and laid it down, and gestured for Swarr to lie down on it. Swarr did, and immediately fell asleep. Swarr woke up and followed Alysa to the dining hall, in which he was given a roasted vole. He stood with Alysa a 'table' they called it, but it was a snake. Alysa talked about how when they returned, there would be something under their moss beds that would put them in chaws. Swarr tried the vole, but yarped it up immediately. "It doesn't feel well in my gizzard," Swarr said, and was given a raw vole, in which he enjoyed better. Swarr returned with Alysa to their hollow. Alysa looked under her bed and screeched in joy Navigation! Yes!" Swarr looked under his beding, and said, "Weather interpritation".

Chapter VIII So, to anybody new in the chaw, my name is Muna, I am the ryb of weather interpritation, and first we will learn everyone's names." there was a saw whet named petil, a barn owl named Sean, an pygmy called Jus, and a eagle owl named Maril in the hollow other than Swarr. Afterwards they were given books on several weather functions, etc.. After finishing the books, they were released to the dining room, in which they ate at an blind snake. The little pygmy owl spoke up, "can't wait till tomorrow, it's suppose to rain, and a possible chance of a hurricane," Swarr looked over as Jus, he was a smart little pygmy, and helped Swarr with his reading. Jus has already became a friend of Swarr's other than Alysa. "Can't wait Jus," Swarr said. Suddenly the snake spoke up "Pardon me for saying this, but Swarr, you seem rather gloomy, what's the problem?" Swarr looked at the snake, Dalki, and said "I'm thinking about my parents, I don't know if they are still alive, and the thought is haunting me." the snake replied saying "Well, that storm tomorrow will perk you up, flying through them is always fun."After finishing an squirrel in the dining hall, he returned to his hollow, where Alysa was, reading a book out of a stack. She looked up and and hooted happily, "Hello! Have a nice day in your chaw? All we did is study constallations," Swarr shook his head, "Ugh, weather patterns for us, and a lot of info about winds," Swarr blinked, "but we do get to fly a storm tomorrow". Alysa shut the book and said, "Well, i'm bored out of my mind, so let's go do something," Flying out of the hollow, they went to the edge of the island, looking at the water, the moon just over the horizon about to go down, and just a few stray clouds hovering in the distance.

Chapter IX "Wake up Swarr! The storm is here!" Swarr was greeted by Jus, who was screeching over the thunder and rain. Alysa awoke aswell and screeched at him, "Hey! I'm not weather interpritation, no need to wake me in the middle of the day!"Swarr and Jus met up with Muna, and then departed over the sea. They flew through the storm, which made the day look like the pitch black of night. Muna was screeching directions over the screaming winds and the thunder. Swarr looked at the sky, he forgot about everything, he was immersed in the storm, overcome, and flew ahead, not following any directions but embracing the storm and flying magnificently, and even Muna saw that Swarr was brilliant. Suddenly out of nowhere a Puffin burst out of the storm, not flying but being thrashed around. Swarr grabbed the puffin and the puffin screamed thanks over the rain, Hey! Thanks! Uhh Now i feel like I owe you? Do i owe you? Maybe i should. My name's Dud," Swarr stared at the strange bird, and said "Uhh, my name is Swarr, I can help you home if you want,". Dud looked at him as if he were crazy, and sqauked "No! Because if you do i'll owe you again!" Swarr churred at the strange bird, and met with Muna. Muna told him to return Dud to the ice narrows. Once returned, Dud cried, saying gibberish about oweing him, and Swarr flew back to the Tree.

Chapter X Two months later, a week after the harvest festival, Swarr was called to meet his Ryb, Muna, in her hollow "Yes, Muna?" Swarr said upon entering, "Ah, Swarr, i know you are having problems and are depressed because you do not know what happened to your parents, so due to your participation and outstanding skill in the chaw, you have been granted two weeks to search in the north, you are the only owl with this permission, so nobody can go with you unless uou ask your puffin friend Dud," Muna stated. Swarr was happy, so happy he couldn't help but screech in joy. Muna gave him a rabbitskin pouch in which held only one thing, a pair of retractable battleclaws. Immediately Swarr set out for his journey. "Hey, Dud, want to go with me to the north?" Swarr said to the puffin, who quickly responded "Sure! I like your fur thingy!" Dud said, and they headed past the ice narrows. Swarr stopped at the Glauxian brothers' retreat, in which he read some books that could not be found at the tree. Dud tried learning to read, but only learned how to read the word and letter 'a' and 'an'. While reading, a large snowy owl approached him. "Hello, you seem interested in that book about Kraals, would you like to help me make some golden paint?" Swarr responded 'yes', and followed the owl. Flying over the spot he was rescued from in the Firth, he had a jar of golden paint, one of the six he made. He amd Dud searched for the Fir tree in which he had lived in, upon finding it, he went inside expecting his parents, yet he was wrong. " 'Ey! Didn't your parents teach you not to fly into occupied hollows!" Swarr cocked his head in confusion, and said "But this was the hollow my parents lived in, where I lived in." from the back of the dark hollow, a snowy owl, but painted in extraordinary colors emerged, "Y...you're Swarr?" Swarr's eyes widened, "Yes, but how did you know?" the snowy perked up "Why, your parents were the finest Kraals i've ever seen! They joined the clan with a good cause, to defend the north from st. Aggies and the Pure ones, because they have lost their children, but you returned! I'm sorry to say, bt your parents were assassinated a while ago." Swarr gulped, and tears appeared in his eyes. Kraals... he thought, honoring his parents. He pointed to the red paint in the back of the hollow, and pulled out the gold paint. The owl nodded and gave him three jars in exchange for the gold. Swarr opened one jar and covered the edges of both wings, sealed it up, and lifted off. For the bloodshed of my parents, for they protected, he thought.

Chapter XI Months after returning from his trip, war has sprung up. The Pure One's new high tyto arised after the feeble former ruler was exiled, with rumors of him joined St. Aggies. The new ruler immediately went into action, and raised enough troops to start a full scale attack on all families in silverveil, slaughtering or kidnapping them all. "Swarr, Alysa! Call to arms, the Pure ones are attacking Silverveil, get your claws and GO!" Muna, Swarr's mentor screeched into their hollow early in the night. Swarr and Alysa quickly stopped at the armory and clawed up, then departed into the clear night. Arriving at silverveil following behind a well trained squad, large platoon of Pure Ones advanced. Flanking them was a small squad of pure ones, in which Swarr, Alysa, and a few others engaged. Swarr remembered his training in warzones in the past few weeks, and knew where and how to strike. One advancing tyto got his wings sliced off, and another struck in the chest. Alysa was holding up well in the fight, but around Swarr Guardians dropped. Swarr watched four tytos advance on Alysa, and tried to help. Two tytos were killed immediately, and while engaging the other, the fourth seemed to disappear. Swarr looked around for him, but was cut in the wing by the fourth, speeding by. The cut was minor, but the impact broke bones, causing Swarr to fall, with Alysa screeching in fear.

Chapter XII Swarr woke up in a small underground chamber, laying on his back with worms slithering all over his maimed wing. "You're awake, mate!" said a voice. Swarr jumped up onto his feet and looked around, and spotted a red fox, smiling happily, "Who are you?" Swarr asked. The fox scrached his ear with his hind leg, and said "Name's Chance! What's yours mate?" Swarr looked around and said "My name is Swarr, thanks for rescuing me." Chance nodded his head, and said "Oi, no problem, once ya healed, you can head back to that tree of yours and with that pretty girl too," Chance said, grinning. "W... wait we aren't in love yet just, friends," Chance yipped, and said "Well, she really cared for ya when you were downed, she asked me to care for ya, she said you were everything to 'er,"Swarr was eating from the rabbit Chance had killed, with his wing tied up by his side. Chance approached him and said "a matron from the tree will be coming to give ya some medicines mate, I was messaged from Alysa, she said you would heal in about 3 weeks," Swarr looked at the beautiful, clean fox. "Thank you, hopefully soon, I already miss the tree,"Swarr turned around to his makeshift bed, and laid down.

Chapter XIII "Oi, an owl called Muna stopped by and said she would like to give you these books," Chance said, with a pouch hanging from his mouth. Chance set it down in front of Swarr and said "Y'know, you've been with me for a week now and we are friends, but we know nothing about eachother," Chance said. Swarr had just started his story, with Chance whimpering or yipping happily along. After finishing, Chance began. "I was born in a den a little bit away from here. I was born 1 day after my Sister, Admantine, and two days before my brother Corros. I was the middle aged pup, not youngest or oldest, but I was the smallest. I was a runt, and if ya' don't know, foxes don't keep runts, they leave 'em outside to die. Well, me mum wanted to give me a 'chance' to live, Hence my name. Well i grew up still being weak and small, and given the least amount of affection, but still mum loved me. Funny story, me mum had to save me food cus' my siblings would eat it all! Well anyways when i was big enough to leave the den, boy i had fun. I traveled, farther than any runt has. I made it to silverveil and with the help of a burrowin' owl, I dug this den. Sooner or later i met some Guardians 'ho asked me to be a slipgizzle, I agreed. And sooner or later, you and your friend came 'long!"Swarr stared at his new friend, intrigued by the story.

Chapter XIX Swarr was testing his healed wing on a clear midnight day in the fall, and flew for long terms, Chance watching in interest. Alysa stood near Chance, watching. Finally Alysa joined Swarr and said "Swarr, you can come home! I've missed you, You know." Swarr churred, and screeched at Chance "I'll visit soon!". Chance nodded, and Swarr and Alysa flew to the great tree. Arriving with the sun peeking over the horizon, he looked at Alysa, and gave her a jar filled with blue dye. "A blacksmith visited, he told me you could dye battleclaws, so they won't look as ugly," Swarr said in midflight. Alysa grabbed it and looked at the Cyan, and screeched, "I love it! How did you know this was my favorite color, i never told you!" Swarr churred, "Because, We have been friends so long that I could tell".
