Sooooo Im not great at writing full books...so this is one of my little mini-story pieces. I know its not quite that easy to follow since it explains very little of before..but oh well xD Comments/Contructive critizium is appreciated =]
Luna had never felt this way. Sure, she had had crushes and all those fuzzy, nervous butterflies and feelings that accompany the school-yard cuties, but none of it came close to these feelings. Luna had only dreamed of such sensations, so intense they were that they actually stung. But the pain was oh so wonderful.
Every time she imagined those gleaming forest-green eyes, that dirty blond hair, that tough, sun-tanned skin; All those rugged features from the hunter-prince made Luna's skin crawl and insides become a hurricane, and of course these were all in a good way. She could still feel the warmth of his body against hers...the muscle beneath his hide clothing...the scent of ash and crisp forest air clinging to his skin...the tenderness of his lips as they met her dark skin...
That night was unfathomable. Luna still could not believe that it happened to her. Questions swirled through her mind and pounded against her skull, giving her a nasty headache as she layed out on the cool, dew-wettened grass beneath the open sky and radiating sun. Her heart threatened to race right out from her chest and across the field as she recalled that night...
They had finished dancing to the music of the forest and stood there, looking into eachothers eyes. Something incredibly strong had pulled her towards Him...right into those comforting arms and He took her in. In an unexplainable turn of events, she ended up curled next to him, tears streaming down her cheeks and leaving invisible, salty streams. Everything had been so overwelming for her....for Luna to believe that someone felt for her the way she had always hoped they would...for someone to actually believe in her and respect her and take her for who she was...it had reduced her to tears. Luna knew He had shed his own salty droplets as well for she felt them against her hand as it rested on His chest. The night had been warm and comforting. For once in many nights, she did not have the horrible nightmare...the one that threatened to engulf her in darkness and loomed dangerously in the distance like a terrible storm.
Luna shook her head to banish the dark thoughts. She had more to think about, things more important than that...dream. But that dream was important. It had Him in it. And that's what worried her. Her dark eyes closed and she saw the face of Him. Those glistening emerald eyes seemed to call out for her. A smile and pink blush crept up onto her face. He had given her the night of her life, even though it was accompanied with tears. Luna realized something that moment she woke up in His arms: That He accepted her for who she was and she accepted Him. She loved Him. Of course, she didn't want to admit this. Something screamed inside of her and made Luna with hold her tongue. Hope glowed within her heart that He knew what she felt without words needed. Still, that need to say those three words ate at her since the time she had first met Him. She needed to tell Him. Luna could not risk losing Him...not like the others. But the fear of rejection and abandonment swept over her again. She did admit, she wasn't the most beautiful girl out there. The girl who had challenged her was infinitly prettier than her. Compared to many other girls she new, Luna felt like a roach...a dark, spindly, ugly roach. That was why she doubted so much...that was why she was scared of giving her heart out. Others had lied to her and dropped her onto the cold hard ground after holding her tight, as if it was a joke to see the roach, distraught and confused, run in circles.
But, she couldnt let Him go. Tears welled in her eyes everytime Luna thought of Him leaving her, even though they werent 'together'. The dream made her even more frightened. She must tell Him...she must...but how?
And here is a poem I wrote...yep ;P
Another Wasted Life
A soldier walks in syncronized step
Marching with allies to an immenint death
Through the war-torn land void of life
Hope held fast by the armies might
All is quiet, nothing moving but the tropical breeze
As it whistles through the broken ferns and trees
Thunder booms and twenty men fall down
Not able to scream, not making a sound
Bullets fly from behind the trees and vines
Five more go down at his very side
They scatter like ants after their hill has been shattered
He runs to survive, nothing else matters
Iron wasps whiz by intent on their prey
Fire burns through his leg and he cries on in pain
Ten minutes in the battle and already down
He calls out for help but no one else is around
The young soldier waits for salvation that won't come
Another valuable life wasted for a war that can't be won
