So, to continue my train of random topics, I want to ask what are some of your favorite books outside of the Ga'Hoole series, since I think most of us would put that onto the list.
For me, these are by far the best books I have ever read:
The Hobbit The Lord of the Rings 1984
I also really enjoyed these, though not to the extent the three above:
The Da Vinci Code Animal Farm The Island of Doctor Moreau The Prince The Time Machine The Kane Chronicles
I will also highly recommend the book Wesley the Owl, it is one of the most heart-warming books I have ever read and is a must-read for any owl lover.

I like any World war based books (1, 2, and Z) I've also read Dragons of wayward crescent and its a enjoyable series... I just didn't like the last 2-3 books. I don't think this counts much but I've read 2 falconry guides. Not many more books I can remember... just so many titles

I've read many books throughout my life, and there have been many I like. However, in my mind, there are varying degrees of greatness for books. I have categorized a few of my reads into the category which I believe that they fall into. I love books and reading, and I enjoy discussing them. Please don't judge until you talk to me.
These are the best books I've ever read. I would and do read them over and over, and they're just as good every time. Graceling *A Song of Fire and Ice series* The Mortal Instruments series Sister's of the Sword (#1 of the Trilogy only)
The following are older books from older authors and an older time (too many "olders"). They are classics in my mind, and timeless. Bridge to Terebithia The Egypt Game Where the Red Fern Grows Island of the Blue Dolphins
These books were targeted for an older audience, but I loved them all the same. They require a mature, understanding reader, so keep that in mind. Sister's Keeper Book of Negroes Da Vinci Code
This book was absolutely hilarious, and it was well written. I loved the characters and loved the setting. Bartimaeus
These books were good, but not good enough to be on the all time favorite list. Ashes Trilogy Maximum Ride Harry Potter Enclave Alex Rider Pretty Little Liars Artemis Fowl Eon and Eona
I loved, loved, loved the ideas behind these books, but I found the writing didn't do the idea justice. I wish they could be re-written. Hunger Games Warrior Cats Gallagher Girls Twilight Guardians of Ga'Hoole Percy Jackson Heros of Olympus The Kane Chronicles Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Inheritance Cycle
I have read many more books, but these were the few notable ones that popped into my mind. If you have any book suggestions for me, please tell me! I love a new book.
*(No, I do NOT enjoy these books because of their 18A nature. On the contrary, I wish George R.R. Martin had minimized or eradicated the sex scenes completely. I love these books because of how well they are written, how descriptive the writing is and how deep and complex the plot is. He had an amazing idea and wrote the books so that they lived up to and surpassed the idea. His characters were unique and different, and very developed. His writing is suspenseful and keeps you hooked. He creates a world in which you wish you lived. His world can be touched, tasted, smelled, heard, seen and lived in. All in all, probably the best books I have ever read.)*

I read a lot! When I'm not drawing, playing Pokemon or on my laptop, 99.97% of the time I'm reading a book. (Even at school, during lunchtimes when my friend doesn't show up, which is often! Last Friday a teacher actually ORDERED me to go play and stop reading. I was NOT happy) Some of my favourites are: Erebos W.A.R.P Dragonkeeper (OMA I've met the author!) Skulduggery Pleasant 39 Clues The Dragon Book Slated series My Story collection The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Deltora Quest The Three Doors Trilogy Tanglewreck Dream Days (It's an oldie but a goodie. I think you can only get a copy from the Folio Society nowadays) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Gone Driftwood Indigo Blue Nancy Drew Go to www.fanfiction.com and look for CynderPikachu's 'The Hunger Games: Firework" It's a fanfic I wrote, based on what would have happened if Katniss had gotten herself killed like an idiot in book three. This one's kinda rubbish but book two's on its way and it's way better.
