Name: Corana
Gender: Female
Age: 54 moons
Species: Snowy Owl
Kingdom: Guardians of Ga'hoole
Position: Weather Interpretation Ryb
Description/Picture:
Personality: A wise and dedicated owl, cunning but still kind. Corana is just and listens to both sides of the matter before deciding. However, while she is patient, she's not exactly a saint. She has a moderate temper. She is a master of flight and combat, both on the ground and mid-air. She has an incredible amount of perseverance, often too stubborn for her own good. However, no one minds this as she has one of the most strategic minds in the owl kingdoms; she is both renown and admired, but she does not preen in pride. Rather, she takes this as an additional burden to bear, so as not to disappoint those who rely on her in times of great need. She is not reckless, but rather thinks before going into a dangerous or unknown situation. She can endure any weather, but she is too sympathetic towards those who are caught in the crossfire. If given a choice between an innocent's life and her own, she would trade places. However, despite her formalness, as one would call it, she enjoys writing. Her hollow is filled with the chronicles she has written over the years, and she often has a chart of weather patterns and a bank of coals in the center.
Strengths:
- Wise
- Dedicated
- Stubborn
- Very quick on her wings
Weaknesses:
- Too Sympathetic :"If given a choice between an innocent's life and her own, she would trade places. "
- She is set in her own ways, and although flexible in strategies, her beliefs are stead-fast. Not likely to change her beliefs any time soon.
- "However, while she is patient, she's not exactly a saint. She has a moderate temper. " If she loses her temper with an owl, it can get quite... messy.
- Does not have a sense of humor...
History:
No one seems to know where Corana comes from, except herself. And that is a tale indeed...
She had hatched, like any other owlet before her. A few cracks with the egg tooth to the shell and she was free from the claustrophobic place.
The blizzard was furious outside, howling and attempting to drive its cold tendrils into the hollow. However, the brisk stone walls were more than capable of stopping them, and the family was warm inside. Corana was an only child, born to a famous warrior pair. She was instructed in the finer arts of war, until she became the pride of the family and the kingdom. She was called upon many times by the King for strategic purposes, and the Generals often listened in on the war meetings with interest, trying to glean from the young snowy owl methods of success. She became older, and soon left the hollow and then the Kingdom.
She wandered, traveling from the north and making her way down south. She helped wherever she could, retrieving owlets who fell out of their nests and owls who were unfortunate enough to be the target of crows. It was on this journey that she learned weather interpretation from a well-learned mistake.
She heard from other wandrers, of the Owls of Ga’hoole, those who rose in the black of night with hearts sublime. In the feudal kingdoms she was convinced that they were myths, but her time wandering changed them. She wished to join them, help them.
And there she stayed, the Weather Interpretation Ryb.

(This is from another website that I play. It's a fantasy-wolf rpg and the Stilla are a fish-like breed. Undine is a dictater and both Stilla that appear here are part of the Rebellion. My character's meeting a friend who wants to be more than that. Hope that's okay. ^^)
As the Stilla walked, her refracting lights had continued. Lyncate wondered if the family trait was too noticeable for her friend, but then rejected the idea; she doubted if anyone was left who remembered the noble family. She would have to warn Rayne to be careful, however. There was quite a reward for anyone who reported a rebel. She certainly didn't want Maximus coming after her for letting Rayne be captured.
Before she could mention it to her partner, they noticed a brute in in the Town Square, standing with such rigidness that Catey almost mistook for a statue, but he was colored with flashing shades of blue. He had markings that she could recognize anywhere: Phosphorus, a spy of Vitiosus. He was like Maximus and Rayne in many ways, Catey thought, but he was different. When Maximus' and Rayne's anger was restrained but still clear, his was entire rage. And the dolphin wondered if that was good for her friend.
The male strode forward stepped in front of Rayne's path, who was more interested in the old Town Square, with all the houses and shops still there, albeit a bit rundown. It was only a nudge from Lyncate that she was able to stop in time for her not to walk into him. As she only came up to Phosphorus' chest, she was forced to look up, her shifting eyes meeting his sapphire ones.
"Rayne, it is good to see you again. You look as beautiful as ever. But I must ask, what are you doing here? Alone?" The words slipped from his mouth, sounding as though he was carefully thinking over them before he let them out. Rayne was delighted that he had remembered her name; most of the Rebellion had been too busy to actually get to know her. Even though the introduction was so long ago, the fem appreciated that Phosphorus remembered. She was a bit surprised by the praise, though; although she had been complimented in her younger years living at court, it had been a long time since she had heard those words, and the rebels did not really concern themselves with courting. It was the last question that she found fault with. One, she was not alone, as Catey was here with her, and two, wasn't one Max enough? His gaze turned to the dolphin and he sighed, but Rayne could not think of a reason why. Instead, she chose to answer the question before the pause became too long. "Thank you, Phosphorus; it is good to see you too. And I must thank you for the praise. I am here because I have requested Raidne of a spy position and came to see the Castle again. However, you are wrong on one part: I am never alone as long as I am with Catey." Rayne looked fondly at her friend, who in turn flashed a toothy grin at her. She missed the male smelling in her scent.
Rayne shifted her gaze back to see the brute smile and lower himself to her eye level, so that sapphire orbs met shifting stormy gray. Catey had to amend her thoughts, even though Phosphorus was a tad rude in saying that her friend was alone when she was here; she had to give him points for politeness. "How have you been as of late? I'm sorry I've been away for so long, I miss you terribly... I am very lonely out here you know, Naunet doesn't like it much in the Kingdom..." Rayne laughed a bit, a happy sound; it was true that the Castle had a bad sense about it, and she wasn't surprised that the male's Soul Shadow had chosen to remain outside of castle walls. Only Lyncate noticed that the brute had said that he missed Rayne "terribly"... she'd have to talk about it with Maximus, the dolphin decided. "I have been fine, thank you. And I don't mind that you've been away; you have been doing your part to rid our kingdom from Undine's rule. I also don't blame your Naunet for not liking it here... The place is too gloomy." However, Rayne was surprised when he nuzzled her. Only Maximus did that, and he had been too busy to do it in a long time... Rayne closed her eyes and let herself enjoy the feeling, of having someone to protect her; as much as she hated it, it was relaxing. Per contra, Catey mentally nudged her and Rayne grudgingly opened her eyes again. A smiled played on her lips as she said, "Thanks."
