I'm not sure if Proboards has decided to inform the normal users but here's the message we admins are getting:
This message is only displayed to staff members. Between April 29th and May 29th this forum will be upgraded to ProBoards v5. We have prepared a short video for you to help you with the upgrade.
ProBoards v5: What You Should Know
(The video is mostly info for the forum maintainers. You can watch it if you're curious about what new features we will be getting)
This means that, at some point in the next month, this fourm will be changing! The URL (gahooliandecree.proboards.com) will remain the same, but, if I understand correctly, pretty much everything else will be different! For one thing, until I have time for put them back together, the headers and footers will be messed up (meaning the fourm clock and most of the stuff at the top of the page will disappear)
At this point, you may be wondering, why does this concern me?
Here's the deal. That video I posted said something to the effect of "Most posts will be retained." The word most worries me. Chances are, everything will be retained but I don't like gambling even when the odds are in my favor! So here's what I need everyone to do. Back up your owls! By this I mean, copy all your owl's bio text (and images, and anything else) and paste them into a text file on your computer / on Google docs / anywhere safe. I would also suggest backing up post tables and other such things. Basically, back up as much as you feel you wouldn't want to do without!
Like I said, chances are, nothing will be lost. But don't take that chance!
Ah. One more thing. Make sure you know your password! The upgrade will require you to log into your account again.
