Name: Cinaed, meaning born of Fire. Also known as Holly.

Description: Cinaed's back feathers are red like the fires she tames in her forge. These set her apart from all other owls. When she flaps her wings the movements of the feathers look like a cascade of fiery sparks racing across her wings.Her eyes are obsidian black but will sometimes appear to glow a bit orangey, which makes them look like warm coals.
Personality: Sinaed loves to socialise but can be very cutting with those she doesn't like. Her wit is as sharp as the claws she forges and she is also very inventive. She loves to fly and will often go into forest fires for the fun of it, doing stunts simply to enjoy being an owl. She makes the best claws in the universe and she knows it, so will take great offence if you say otherwise.
Strengths: She is very muscular, smart and witty.
Weaknesses: She is very proud, cutting, is quite a slow flyer and can be really a jerk.
History: When she was still known as Holly she was born into a Pure One family, her parents both high commanders and her big sister a servant to the High Tyto. She was repulsed by their murderous ways and when being trained by the owlet trainer Safiya took advantage of the owl's doting to allow her alone time, when she fled. She started going by the name Cinaed when she took up smithing, as Cinaed means 'Born of the Flames'. She also earned the nickname Firetamer, and she never tells anyone her true name. Cinaed opened a forge in a scenic cave with a bubbling stream that goes in through the entrance, which provides cool water for her forging, unlike almost every other smith, who must use a bucket of water. She soon became the best smith in the known kingdoms and invented hundreds of weapons and tools. However, she lives in terror of the Pure Ones catching her, because they will not kill her, but shatter her and force her to work for them.
IC: The currents warmed her feathers as she swooped through the vines plaited over the entrance to her forge. The coals glowing in her talons illuminated the lower level of her forge. She soared up through a spiral passageway, passing two thick layers of rock and one just thick enough to support the weight of her sleeping area until she reached the top. She lit down next to the fire pit and gently tipped ta few coals into it. She placed a few branches over the top to encourage a fire, although that was for warmth. Gliding back down to the ground level, the forging level, she slipped on her razor-sharp smithing claws, tipped the rest of the coals into the forge pit, picked up her hammer and tongs and set to work.
