Safiya, as a warrior of the Pure Ones, would be fighting in the army ready to slay the Guardians. She is a little worried about the older fledgelings who have been allowed to fight and is constantly thinking over her motivation to fight. "Thalia! Thalia! Thalia!" Safiya chanted with the other owls. She turned as they prepared to fly and once again her mind wandered to the owlets left with Tutti. She couldn't let the impure take them. The Guardans would mutilate them, not physically, but destroy their sense of purity and superiority. They woud become mindless little birds helping to defeat those who were their kin. She shook her head and thought of Caine and Tia. They had been slaughtered by the impure. The mad old owl who had wielded the weapon that had stolen her mate and chick's lives had turned out to be a Guardian. She had already taken one Guardian, an Eagle Owl named Kai. She hoped to add many more to her list.

(This is only if a) Elissya is accepted and b) I can still sign people up)
Elissya was a Healer from the faraway lands of Sulawesensaii. She had come to teach the fabled Guardians the Sulawesi way of healing. She heard of this battle and changed courses, going to prepare to heal the injured after the battle.
Elissya flew through the air, her small wings propelling her forward. Her pack clung to her back as she flew onwards, to meet the Guardians of Ga'Hoole. As an owlet, her mother had told her of the mysterious guardians across the sea, and Elissya had always wanted to meet them. When she had excelled at herbal arts and healing, she realized that it was a perfect opportunity to explore these foreign lands and teach the Guardians the herbal arts and healing. She hoped that she would arrive in time to help the wounded after the battle.

The air was deathly silent for what seemed an eternity. Then, from the side of the Pure Ones, came a roaring cry, and they charged at the Guardians. Colaby hooted "Charge!" and the Strikers flew forward. Almost instantly it was hagsmire. There was blood everywhere. Owls dropped to the ground and flew high. Coliaby dispatched a ragged Tyto Alba who swore a very dirty word and tried to cut off her wing. Karishma narrowly avoided a yelling Sooty, circled round and stabbed him in the back. The feathers of all the owls flyng near another when they were hit were crimson. One snowy was almost completely red. This was war. And Coliaby hated it.

Feliah still sat on her rock when the Pure One's called for the attack. Her eyes flew open immediately when metal hit metal with a sickening clang. She could see owls everywhere, barely anything else visible. The sky was swarming with both live and dead bodies, owls viciously attacking each other.
Feliah opened her wings to fly into the battle as she had not yet been noticed down low on her rock. She took off into the air, only to narrowly avoid her head being swiped clean off by a Pure One. The young female reeled round just in time to see the same owl barrelling towards her. Feliah swiftly flew higher in the air and as the Pure One flew beneath and behind her she wheeled around and swiftly grabbed his neck in her talons, snapping it like a twig. The sickening noise it made caused Feliah to flinch. That was her first ever kill.

Meanwhile at the Tree...
Dianthe clutched iron tongs in her talons as she danced with the flames, sending sparks flying towards the other smiths. She banged the gizzard protector she was making, putting the molten metal into shape. She battered the steel into compliance, the protection glowing red hot in the coals. Dianthe whirled around, holding tight to the molten metal. She dropped it into the bucket of water the Tree had provided, dodging the water splaying around. The metal hissed and spat as it hit the water, sending burning hot water everywhere. The water sloshed in the bucket, submerging the protector in cool water. Dianthe prodded the rapidly cooling gizzard protector, sending more water sloshing onto the ground.
Dianthe grabbed a cool, more refined pair of tongs from beside the fire and removed the gizzard from the bucket. An owlet exchanged the used water for some fresh water, running out of the room again. Dianthe moved the metal to a small table, then examined it. With her talon, she scratched a "D. D." into the corner of the gizzard protector. She handed the cooled, finished piece to a small grass owl who rushed it out of the hollow. Dianthe turned back to the pile of metal, then chose another piece.
It was time to dance with the flames.

Thalia awaited the call of battle, and when the Guardians rang out a holler, her Pure Ones matched it with bellowing cries. She watched and listened as metal collided with metal in a familiar clang, triumphant cries from victors and agonized yowls from their victims filled the air. She would do anything to be out there, to feel the freshly-spilled blood of a Guardian on her feathers and talons.
She spread her wings and surged into battle, ignoring the protests of the soldiers that had been guarding her, and collided head-on with a Snowy owl that had been going for the neck of a Pure One. Her battleclaws tore through his chest and he let out a scream of pain, blood staining his feathers as he plummeted to the ground.
Thalia let out an exuberant whoop and readily took on another guardian that had come towards her, her battleclaws scrabbled for a grip against the Great Horned owl's sword. He plunged the sword into her left shoulder blade and she yelled in agony, her eyes brimming with tears. "What have you done?" she screamed. And marking this with a flash of anger and wrath, she gripped his neck and snapped it. His body fell limp in her talons. Hobbling in mid-flight, she made her return to the camp where several medics were waiting to heal her wounds.

| [bg=040707] Tinker's blood ran cold as the gleeful screams of battle began around him. He realized that the Pure One's were poorly led, that the commanders rarely lasted long enough to gain experience; their only advantage was their unwavering belief in their own superiority. But then, there was no time to think. All around were Pure Ones fighting Guardians fighting Aggolians. Often an owl would be killed from behind in the middle of a fight, only to have his murderer take his place. Tinker's platoon dissolved into the fight, too poorly trained and too full of bloodlust to realized that they had a better chance of surviving together. Before their stupidity was able to sink in, Tinker was set upon by young Guardian soldier. The Guardian attacked with an abandon and furiosity that told Tinker he was a fresh recruit. Tinker fought defensively, and waited for the owl to make a mistake. When he did, Tinker moved in and slashed across his chest, damaging his flight muscles, causing his wings to crumple back uselessly as he fell to the ground. Emboldened by the realization that the Guardians weren't nearly as well equipped to fight as they appeared, Tinker moved to help his platoon mates.

[atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,false][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,100,true] | [bg=000000] kryton, Jumar and the messenger looked over a dessert of red sand and feathers. “quick, it’s started!” the messenger shouted as she led them through the mess of raining blood. Battle claws shined in the moonlight and the feeling of death was carried through the air. The barn owl led them through the battlefield, but soon a guardian started to attack her. Although kryton was un-armed, he quickly raced out to help the pure one. The great-horned owl went talon to talon with kryton, he was showing no fear. Kryton thrusted his talons at the guardian and was able to get a hold of his wing, he then flicked him towards the messenger who then plunged her talons into his neck and let the now-dead guardian fall to the sand below. He had taken his last flight. “Thanks kryton.” The pure one was in his debt. “I like how you finished him. you pure ones are always intresting.” he replied giving a small grin.
Soon enough they arrived at the entrance of a cave. “Wait here, I’ll go find katara and she’ll brief you two and supply your fire-claws kryton.” The barn owl told them before she left the hireclaws hovering outside to retrieve her commander.

Katara was in her cave in the rocky cliffs, studying a map. Beside her, Kygoe surveyed the map quickly. "If we were ta bring a force o' 20 or so, we could make it," he said gruffly. He reached up with a mangled talon and moved a wooden piece shaped like an owl towards the tree. "We would have enough soldiers to take the Tree, and the ones here would be sacrificing for the Pure Cause." he rasped.
Katara calculated the maneuver in her head, exploring every possibility. "We would need to take the High Tytoness to exert her power on the Tree. And she must stay safe. We would have a trail, and they might catch her." she said. She flexed her silver clad talons, the well oiled battle claws making nary a sound. "I should be out there," she said. "The soldiers need a leader. The Tytoness is hidden away, and I'm stuck in here, plotting." she looked out of the entrance, longing in her eyes.
"You'll arrange the trap. I trust you. You have the brains to do it, and there are enough fighters," she said, gesturing to the special force of 30 owls further in the cave. "Go Kygoe, do it for me and the Pure Cause."
"But Kat- I mean, Commander, you need to work on the trap for the Guardians." he rasped. Katara looked into his eyes, searching. "A battle is like dancing in a storm. Without someone who knows what they're doing, the storm will rage and kill you. And these soldiers don't know what to do."
"They don't know how to dance with the storm. And I'm going to show them."

Safiya hollered a war cry and swooped in with the Pure Ones. She took down an Aegolian owl from behind and had a little tussle with a Guardian, finaly flinging the owl to the ground, where the crack! of his bones snapping echoed. She grabbed another guardian by the wing and felt it splinter. Releasing the owl, he plummeted into the rock below. Suddenly a howl of "What have you done!" reached her ear slits. Turning, she saw the High Tytoness covered in blood. "Your Pureness!" Safiya shrieked. Ignoring all protocol, she used her speed flying to swoop ahead of her commander and created a slipstream to ease her flight. Even so, the High Tytoness's blood was falling fast, and Safiya was so close her tail feathers were soon covered in it.

Katara leapt from the ledge of the cave, behind her 10 of the 30 owls following her. They were her unique, special force; the Storm Strikers. Each owl had been selected by Katara herself to ensure their Pureness for the squadron. The wind raced through her feathers, and her gizzard sang. She flew towards the battlefield, her force behind her, flying swiftly towards the battle. Katara surveyed the scene before beginning to swoop in, until she saw the crimson stained figure of the High Tytoness. THALIA! she screamed within mind. She turned abruptly, her squad turning a fraction of a second behind her.
She raced towards the Tytoness, catching up to her quickly. Her squad flew behind her. "Surround us!" she commanded, her squad following almost immediately. Soon the Tytoness was surrounded by 10 elite Pure Ones, all of them of the Purest. "Deflect all attacks," she called. "Divert any enemies from us!" The Supreme commander flew until she was beside Safiya. "You've done your duty," she said briskly. "Return to your forces." her voice was sharp, cold, crisp and couldn't be defied or disobeyed. It was the voice of a Commander.
"Tytoness!" Katara exclaimed as she dropped to her Tytoness's side. Jerzyr, the Storm Striker's second in command, took the head of the diamond shaped formation. The Strikers spread out around the Commander and the High Tytoness in a diamond pattern to ease Thalia's already strenuous flight. "We must get you back to the medical center." she said softly. The diamond formation flew the Tytoness to the cave, where Katara helped Thalia to a medical healer. "Rest now," she said to the Tytoness as she neared the exit of the cave. As she sprang back into the battle, she called behind her
"Be safe."

[atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,false][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,100,true] | [bg=000000] The messenger named liara flew towards the cave were she was most likely to find katara. And to her luck, she able to catch her commander just as she was flying into the battle. “Katara!” she shouted as she landed on the ledge and bowed towards her. “sorry I’m late, but I’ve found the hireclaws; they’re waiting outside for you” she said while gesturing to them. (OOC: haha, forgot that the camp was in a cave. anyway ive edited my last posts ending.)

(This is a very liquid time paradox XD)
The Supreme Commander looked at the messenger. "Thank you Liara." she said. "You are dismissed. Go tend to the High Tytoness." she turned from the messenger to look at the Hireclaws. "So you're the fabled Kryton and Jumar," she said. "Tell me, what is it that you require for this battle?" she asked. Her pure white feathers were slightly stained with blood, like a pale peach color. Her onyx eyes bore into Jumar's eyes, then turned to Kyrton.
"Whatever it is you need, I'm sure we can arrange something."

(This is just an awkward posting... XD)
Felaih swooped to the side as a Pure One swept towards her. She grabbed another by the wing and snapped it before sending the owl plummeting to the ground. A second later, two owls grabbed her wings and held her in place, another owl shooting towards her with his claws outstretched. With quick thinking, Feliah pulled her left wing towards her right, having the owl coming for her chest hit the owl holding her left wing instead. She then turned to face the last owl going for his throat with his claws.
Flying off into the battle again, she saw another owl in the distance and locked onto her target, zooming towards it with speed.
(Would anyone like their owl to be the owl Feliah fights? We wouldn't kill each other because something would happen but I just kinda need Feliah to get involved in here XD)
