[Ardi] Ardi silently entered the library of the tree and found a suitable book for his studies on weather. he did not wish to be discovered nor disturbed. In fact, Ardi had not even let his presence be known by the majority of the guardians, he was here to study, and leave, nothing more.
Though supposedly that was a fleeting hope, someone was bound to notice him, realize he was studying. They would likely also note that they did not recognise him, though that was common with the tree, as there were so many owls here at a time. Sadly, Ardi knew that these were very curious owls in terms of other owls, they liked to know people, and meet new ones.
It was entirely possible one of them had been sent to find him for information in the past, and they would most certainly address his presence and question him, such people involved most of the rybs, and especially the king, who was the member of the tree that had discovered him, which was a little known fact. But Ardi reapplied his focus to the book, best not to wander in any thoughts whilst there was information to be studied, he needed to know about the different winds...

Nymphadora had just arrived at the tree after her days of searching for it. "Finally!" she thought and flew into a hollow. It seemed to be a library. "Huh, not really my thing but I'll check it out." she thought. "Perhaps there are some owls here who could help me with my business. She looked around and saw a quite handsome great horned owl hunched over a book on weather interpretation. "Maybe...I shouldn't disturb him." she thought. "But I need help." and with that thought, the spectacled owl flew over to the great horned. "Excuse me, I'm sorry to disturb you but do you know where I could find the king?" she asked with the beautiful voice known to her species.

[Ardi]
Ardi glanced upwards from his book and suppressed a scowl, he knew it would be impossible to escape notice. He took into regard her question and figured that it would make it a lot simpler to get rid of this owl. "No clue, Mam. Thought might I suggest asking a guardian or nest maid, I am not from the tree as might be thought due to my presence" He smiled politely. In his head gave quick congratulations to himself for presenting a response so elegant with such little time. Ardi gestured upwards with his wing, "Just a thought, but it is entirely possible that the King's chambers would be situated higher in the tree" he proposed modestly. "But that's just a slight guess on my part, mam".

Nymphadora looked at the great horned and smiled. "This owl reminds me so much of myself. Always trying to get rid of others." she thought. She didn't see the point in annoying him so she answered politely. "Thank you for your help. I'm so sorry I disturbed you while you were reading your book. Have a nice night." she said and flew out of the library. Nymphadora flew until she reached a hollow connected to another that was right in the middle of the tree. She requested to see King Aakesh. When her chance came, she entered the hollow and stood before the king.
"Greetings your majesty," she began while bowing very low as you should when in front of a king. "I have come here because I would like to offer my services to you and the guardians of ga'hoole. I've been thinking for a long time and I've decided that if you need one, I'd like to be a slipgizzle for the Great Tree. I will go into any territory be it St Aggies or The Pure Ones." she said. "That is all."

[Ardi] Ardi observed as the owl flew off to find the king, "Fools decision" He muttered self-consciously. Anyone could realize a decision to become a slipgizzle did not require actually seeing the king at all, you really just had to bring good information to a ryb. Anything good the rybs heard was brought to the king, with news of the owl who brought it in. After that you could just keep showing up with more and they'd tolerate you. The real trick, was to go somewhere they know you to do something, and not get discovered, however innocent, or guilty your task was. A simple example was Ardi himself, he had snuck himself into the tree unrecognised so far to study weather, and was currently reading on hurricanes and tropical storms. He would read the whole book, as it could all come in handy, but he really just wanted to know about winds over the seas of the kingdoms.

The young Tyto Alba tilted her head, following the noise. She came to the library, and tentatively made her way in.
She poked her scared face around one of the shelves to see a male that she didn't know. Well, being only a student, she didn't know quite too many owls. Faylne straightened out her feathers, making sure they were laying flat before hopping over to Ardi.
"Hello! I'm Faylne, a student of the Search and Rescue Chaw. Who might you be?" She felt that being social and straight-forward for once would do her a bit of good at getting to know others. Of course, she was probably wrong, but it was worth a shot.
