Name: Naraky (pronounced Nah-ra-ky)

Age: About 24 moons (2 years)
Species: great-horned owl
Kingdom: Originated from Tyto forest

Description:
Naraky is fairly larger and taller for a male great horned owl; he has (as most horned owls do) a mixture of grey, white, orange and light brown feathers in a lined pattern around his breast area; his face has a dark, black outline with a grey colour covering the inside of his facial disk with orange and black horns sticking out from the top of his head; he has yellow eyes with a black pupil and his Primary feathers are covered with a mixture of orange, brown, black and grey feathers. His beak is a very dark black colour as well as his talons.
Personality:
Naraky has always been a quiet sort of bird, who isn’t the best of leader and much prefers following. He has always known since he was a chick that he wanted to travel through all the owl kingdoms, even the mythical middle kingdom. He has an adventurous sort of personality, that urges him to face danger head on, soar higher than the peregrine, fly through the maddest storms, and search the world for new opportunities. He is kind at heart, and only eats when needed, otherwise he sees no need in killing a vole just for a snack; and in battle, he will only fight if it is the only possible solution, and if the reason for the war is one worth dying over.
History:
Naraky was raised normally; he was the second egg, and also the last. He had an elder sister who was always kind to him, and they both encouraged each other in the early days in learning to fly. His parents were also kind and supporting, who would help in everything. He and his sister both became independent at about 5 months and went their separate ways. A while after he left the nest, he learnt from a Goshawk how to use his tale as a third wing to make him more agile and swift while flying through dense forest. Now Naraky travels the owl kingdoms and plans to soon visit the Glauxian brothers.
Strengths:
- Amazing and fast flyer
- Can swiftly fly through dense forest
- Great scout- due to his speed and that his species are the second best at hearing
- Sometimes gets visions, however not through dreams or flames, but through objects; they bring back like a memory of some sort
Weaknesses:
- Not a great leader
- Reckless at times
- Not very social because he's always been travelling
- finds it hard to kill other owl's, even the most evil
IC: Naraky was far south of Tyto forest, gliding with the wind which was also blowing in a southerly direction: making his trip a lot quicker. He was travelling during dawn with his Goshawk friend, who he had known since he had left the nest. His friends name was malick and with him by naraky’s wing, crows usually left him along. Naraky’s original intention to return to Tyto was to visit his parents and meet their new clutch of chicks, however soon after had decided to depart them he ran into Malick, who was hunting a pigeon. Malick caught the pigeon and flew over the edge of a cliff and dived onto one of its ledges, and with naraky flying close behind, he flew down and landed next to him just seconds after he had, and turned his head so it was facing upside down and said “why hello there old friend.” Malick was stunned to see his old friend and offered him some of the pigeon which he happily took; and the two friends talked about what each other had been doing over the past year. During this conversation, Malick mentioned an old others hut in which he had found while out hunting far south of Tyto; so this is now where they headed. Naraky looked down over the others building and expected it to be made out of stone as they usually were, however this one was made of wood and was much smaller compared to the stone ones. Naraky was suddenly very interested in this structure and flew through a small, broken square door made out of glossen and landed on a desk with some others contraptions on it; the others hollow was totally yoicks, there were leaves scattered all over, the wood was rooting and a long, white thing was torn and coiled metal springs were visible. Suddenly, naraky went into a trance and got a vision of something, wait no, someone! An other seemed to be waking from the white object and then got up and walked up to the desk. Then it all suddenly all came to naraky, the long white object was like a perch where an other would sleep! All of a sudden Naraky was thrown out of the trance and then flew back out through the broken glossen square and went to Malick who was waiting for him at the top of the building, however he decided he better keep this to himself for now. Naraky was planning to go the northern kingdoms for the first time after his return to Tyto and his reunion with Malick; however, his plans changed after he bided his friend good bye and was just about to leave the others home himself when he peered into a patch of sand by the small lake out the front of the wooden structure. He saw something that looked like a wing, however this was the only part of the object he could see; the rest was buried in the sand. So he flew down and pulled it out with his talon and found that the wing was a part of some sort of hawk, carved into stone with blue gemstones decorating the wings which made it sparkle; it also had string attached to it, however it was broken. He held the stone hawk in his talons and gazed at in deep thought, there was something about this necklace that entangled him in amazement; and so among his thoughts, he decided that he would fly to the great tree of ga’hoole, for he heard of a weavers guild who worked with strings like these ones, and could replace of fix this one for him.
