I was a little bored, so I decided to make this poll based on the previous discussion about the series, Guardians of Gahoole and whether it went downhill or not from the sixth book, The Burning. Feel free to vote and/or post in the comments below what you thought about the series and it's high and low points. ;D

I haven't finished the series yet, I am still on the Golden Tree. I found that the Golden Tree grew very repetative, Coryn was constantly contemplating the same things over and over. It moved at a very slow pace. I still love the series, though. It is one of my favorites, especially the earlier books! ;D

I liked the book series. Although I did dislike what the ember caused the guardians to do. I also thought that the Striga......how to say........got a little extreme......

Don't get me wrong, the series is amazing! ;D It's just the fact that I thought the earlier books were better than the later ones so far - I can relate to what you said about the ember. It just seems so un-noble (that's not a word, I know ) of them and those owls were just being nonsensical. Oh well, still great books!

They were brilliant books, sure, but really, owls that were blue? And half-crow, half-owl creatures? Magen? REALLY? HONESTLY? I agree that from The Capture to The Burning were the best books. And Kathryn Lasky stuffed up something. In 'The Hatchling' it says that Grank was a Whiskered Screech. But in the legends, he was a spotted owl! This is a major oversight and it ticks me off because I like my books accurate. The story definately went downhill from book six.

I didn't notice a mistake at all! Huh! I guess I'm just not as perceptive as you.

I've made it to The Hatchling, but Coryn is proving to be a major hurdle against me finishing the series. I don't know what it is about him, but I just do no like him at all. I particularly hate the fact that he so easily replaced Boron and Barran, who I really liked, just because he finds some magic junk and then of course my favorite of all, Ezylryb, gets killed off during the flashback books...

Oh, my apologies, I figured it would be common knowledge now. There, I put the text in black so you have to highlight it to read.

Why thank you. While most of us probably do know, some may have only seen the movie and wish to read the books or something along those lines. Carry on. *flourishes had*
