Viss looked down into the canyons, on the highest ledge of them all. She brought down her head, lifted her wings and pushed with her legs off the ledge. She flew over St.Aggies, heading for the Forest of Tyto. She landed next to a hollow, the moon shinning brightly. She carefully peered in and saw a barn owl owlet, unguarded. It was not unusual for her to go snatching though. She stepped into the hollow, her battle claws clanking against the wood. Her metal face mask gleamed in the moonlight. The little owlet looked up at her in horror, scrambling into a corner. "Come here my little owlet." She said, her voice like an angel.
Viss reached out her talon toward the owlet, as it moved closer to her. She carefully grabbed it and flew off toward St.Aggies, the owlet screeching in her talons. "Shh.. Hush little owlet go to sleep. soo you can fly high with me. Goo to sleep so you can fly high in the sky." She sang, almost like a snowy owl. She repeated the lullaby over and over until they got there and the owlet was fast asleep. She flew over to her secret nest, only Nymbus knew of it and has approved of it. She laid the owlet down in the comfy little nest and whispered. "Good night my favorite." She nestled in with the small owlet. She sensed, felt and knew that this owlet would love her and follow orders moon blinked or not.

Their soul-less, glazed over eyes sent a slight chill down the Ablah General's spine. He remembered when the ablah general before him had sent him to be moonscalded multiple times. He was a tough egg to crack--no pun intended--and it angered the general, but look at where Nymbus was now.
He grew up to be a fine, cold-hearted Ablah General. Shaking his head from side to side in a slow motion he stopped and launched himself off his high perch. As he flew above the toiling owlets he felt those lifeless eyes watch in amazement as he headed for the entrance.
He knew without a doubt some owlets in the Orphanage were not successfully moonblinked and were slipping underneath the radar, but he hoped his presence alone would keep them in their place. His golden slits for eyes grazed over the large area, striking fear into the chicks as they worked. Even the pit guardians seemed to wince with an unknown pain. Sighing loudly he faced forward now, the light of the opening rippled on his face armor. Making his way into the open canyon ravine, the Ablah General stretched his wings quickly before straightening out.
Looking into the distance he couldn't find who he was searching for inside the Orphanage so he figured he'd find her beyond the canyon walls. He knew where she'd be. Tilting his body slightly to an angle he flapped a few times to gain some altitude. The moon was almost full in the sky, just a couple more nights and the moonblinking would soon begin again. He was searching for a hidden nest, Viss's nest. He hadn't seen her in a while and hoped to find her there. They hadn't had much time to spend with each other and so he figured this would be a good time.
He was flying close to the nest's location when he finally saw the shape of his mate. Slowing his speed he outstretched his talons and landed silently onto the nest. Peering down, his eyes met a small chick. "Favoritism?"

Viss looked over into the distance, a flying figure aproched. Nymbus landed on the nest. She slightly laughed, favoritism. "I know Nymbus but can't you see any compasion for the litle guy." She shrugged. "If it doesn't do as commanded fine moonblink it. I don't mind but I just want you happy." She said, her voice firm. The owlet yawned and started to open up it's eyes, staring into Nymbu's yellow eyes. The owlet didn't move it looked like it was in a trance, noone knew what was going on but the owlet was seeming to be drained of it's past. When it rememberd nothing of it's parents it looked at Nymubs again, cuteness in it's little eyes.
Viss made the owlet turn toward her and the owlet scurried over. She was suprisedand wanted to put it to the test. "Now, my young one hop onto that ledge!" she said, her voice had a hint of amusment. The owlet did as told and hopped to a nearby ledge. The owlet hopped back and cuddled into Viss. She quickly stood up and hit the owlet with her beak, nothing hurtful. She shook her feathers and stared at the chick. "This chick's mind is messed up." She whisperd, then an idea struck her mind. " When the chick gets older and if it still commands us we could get it to fool other owlets to become moonblinked." She said, hoping Nymbus agreed.
Viss started loving this little owlet, quick bond you can say but she can be pure evil when something really bugs her. Never underestimate...Viss...
