"It's a mixture of clay and a few minerals. It softens the metal so that they aren't so stiff. I use it everywhere but the tips, so that they remain hard and sharp." Taylor took the claws and hung them on a rough hook.

"Sounds interesting, but I must decline. I am sure others would be begging for it though," Ryth said shaking her head. She hesitated, thinking of changing her answer, but said quickly "Actually, maybe on the front-middle claw on the right talonm, that is the talon I use for dealing fatal blows, and it's the battleclaw that gets bent up the most."

Taylor thought for a moment. She then heated up the forge in preparation to fix Ryth's claws. Once she had heated the forge, she called out in the screaming cry of a Barn Owl. A tiny Lesser Sooty assigned to assist her scampered into her forge. "I want you to fetch me seagull splat, pronto," she ordered, flipping a small bucket at the owl. "What? Seagull splat???" the owl said curiously. "YES!!!" screeched Taylor. "That's what I said. NOW MOVE!!!!"

Ryth saw a lesser sooty enter the forge upon the call of Taylor, Ryth thought she would hang around before going to train. She blocked her right ear out so she wouldn't be snooping, but the lesser sooty left with a bucket.
To collect clay, I hope

Soul picked up her fireclaws from her hollow, and flew after Ryth "Mind if I join you? Its been forever since I've trained."

Sure, hope you don't mind killing dirty seagulls, they are good practice though, and the area I train in has a couple of guardians passing every now and then," Ryth said picking up a pair of claws she borrowed from the armory. She headed to the coast in the beaks, and on the way there, she saw Taylor's sooty, Of course he would go the the sea, clay can be found there easily.

Taylor was busy reshaping Ryth's claws. Each pump of the bellows brought the heat higher. The smoke was beginning to cloud the forge, so she left it for a moment to fan the smoke out the rock chimney. When he returned, there was a piece of book-paper fast burning up in the forge. You are not a Pure One Under it was the same five circle motif.

Ryth looked at soul when they were at Ryth's training grounds. "Something seems strange, about Taylor, the sooty she sent to collect clay passed over a couple of veins of it exposed on the surface," Ryth thought for a moment, "Do you think we should do something about this? As in keep an eye on Taylor and that sooty?"

Soul nodded "I agree, it would be a good idea" and Soul hushed herself, scanning for a nice Seagull or Guardian to take down.

Ryth killed a seagull and said again, "I, I have to tell you the truth, I am a very wary of other Pure ones after my friend betrayed me, so I would never give Taylor my real claws, my real claws were fixed recently by a rogue smith, I gave fake claws to see if 'I' can trust her, I mean, i think she is brainwashed and all, but if she isn't?"
After saying that, she added "I think we should go shortly, I don't want it to be too late when we return."

Taylor looked at the paper as it crumbled to ashes. If I'm not a Pure One, she thought, bending Ryth's claws back into shape, then what am I?

Soul nodded as a large seagull rushed to the ground, its wing hanging on by a thread of skin, and blood gushing from its breast. "Alright, maybe later then."

Ryth started heading up torwards Taylor's forge, and hid as best she could, and watched the entrance of the forge, every now and then scanning for Soul.
