Prue dodged his first attack, wheeling around with the intent of piercing his chest. Her eyes, fixed on her victim, seemed to burn with the intensity of a bonk coal; melting him before her talons could even meet his flesh. "You have improved. Good." she taunted through shrieks. "Maybe now you might put up a little fight." It had been sometime now since she had gotten into a fight, seeing as she lead a rather peaceful life at the Tree.
She had a few battles here and there through her exploits, but otherwise, she had not flexed her battleclaws in some time. As a young Pure One, she had a tendency to get herself into trouble with her peers, she would smart-mouth an owl and before she knew it, their blood was on her talons.
She glanced quickly to where Dartmont was, puffing out her chest a little at the sight of the Great Horned, she felt compelled to impress him in some way. It was not apparent to her why this would be, sure she felt her cheeks flush when she came near, but this sense of seeking for attention was not a familiar one.
She turned her attention back to her skirmish, thrusting her talons up, she dove at Coryn with a trill of enthusiasm. "I might leave you in one piece, Coryn. I like you, you're a nice guy. But if I catch you here terrorizing owlets, I might just have to do something ugly."

Coryn
Coryn constantly tried to dodge Prue's constant onslaught of attacks, flitting this way and that to avoid her talons. Her taunting was getting to him, filling him with the need to grab her and rip her to shreds.
"Yes, I have improved," he called, dodging her talons again, "I think you'll find quite a lot."
His time spent at the Pure One HQ had not just given him lots of opportunites to torment owls. Coryn usually got into fights often and so he had grown considely in his combat skills, all from his self training of course. The Pure Ones had neglected to give him the slightest of training and so he often had skirmishes with the owls whom would not obey his orders, thus giving him a chance to practice his combat skills.
As Prue dove towards him he swooped to the side, grabbing her wing and digging in his talons. He tried to get to the bone, but lost his grip and only managed to unbalance her in flight briefly. Angrily, he dove towards his target, talons outstretched and heading right for Prue's throat.
Coryn would have connected with it, if not for a strong gust of wind that pushed him downwards, making him hit her in the chest head on.

Elissya had been checking on the owlets, checking on their injuries and helping the other healer. She had to admit, these Ambalian healers had some strange remedies. She had left the fighting to the owl with battle claws, preferring to stick to her own talents.
Sensing that the other healer did not approve of her herbalism and healing, Elissya had retreated from the hollow. She trusted that the female owl with the battle claws would be able to finish off the assailant, but to her surprise Elissya found them still battling.
She reached behind her, fishing around in her pack. She withdrew a small bottle, filled with a reddish black powder. She flew upwards, trying to stay inconspicuous. Once she was high enough, she began to hover. Using her talons, she un corked the glass bottle.
She took a pinch of the powder, careful to firmly shut her beak. She held her breath and squinted her eyes, her lashes forming a shield like screen. She held her talons with the powder over the assailant who had attempted to snatched the owlet, then released her grasp.
The powder fell in a cloud, wafting down towards Coryn. The reddish dust seemed to swirl downwards, growing into larger cloud. It wafted towards Coryn, and Elissya corked the bottle, satisfied.
Suddenly the gust of wind blew the cloud towards Prue, who Coryn had just hit. The powder enveloped the two owls, and Elissya cursed. She knew the powder would cause their eyes to black out, until she washed their eyes out with Aloe water. The powder would also cling to the owl's beak, causing a 10 second period of breathing loss.
If the powder worked as it always had, taking away vision until washed out, and blocking the windpipe for 10 seconds,
Prue and Coryn were in trouble.

Dartmont watched from his perch as Prue fought with this other owl, who seemed to be familiar with her in some way. He was a bit impressed at how well Prue was able to handle herself against this owl. She had some combat experience, that was perfectly clear, which was always something good to know. Dartmont had some his own, but he was nowhere near to what Pure was showing off. Dartmont usually just relied on his brute strength in a fight, as he wasn't particularly agile or fast. But of course, he rarely got into fights, preferring more peaceful options than simply resorting to violence. Having lost his siblings and father to violence, Dartmont had sworn to trying and preserve life of other owls when he could, knowing they too had families that aced about them.
Watching the white owl, Dartmont couldn't help but admire at her grace and beauty. Barn Owls were not common in Ambala and he hadn't seen one in person since his brief stay with the Guardians when he was younger. He hadn't really noticed them too much, but something about Prue was sparking his interest in ways no other owl had in a long time. Of course, she had invited him for a private flight together, so it seemed Prue had an interest in him as well.

Coryn
As his head collided with Prue's body, Coryn was stunned momentarily. He only just managed to keep in the air with unsteady wing beats as he took in great breaths. He was lucky that Prue had not attacked him in his vunerable state although she too was probably winded by his clumsy attack.
The Grass owl regained his strength, raising his head to look at the Barn owl. He opened his beak to shriek, but found no noise came out. Coryn then began to choke, feeling something sticky and thick clogging his windpipes. He choked violently as he tried to keep airborne, his wings flapping clumsily as he started to slowly descend to the ground. The powder began to work on his eyes, the male's vision going dotted and blurry. Blinking his eyes, the world started to go darker, trees and sky starting to fade into black.
"Help me!" He managed to choke out, finding his breathing had returned to normal. Although it was too late as he was already plummeting to his death, the wind whistling taunts at his weakness as he fell.

(Ugh, Writer's Block, which I've and for 4 months now, is getting worse. I'll post when my creativity climbs back out of that hole.)

Dartmont decided to take action now, seeing both Prue and the other owl debilitated by the powder that smaller owl had tossed, and swooped down from where he had sat and grabbed that Grass Owl by the leg with his talons and flew then over to Prue and he gently took a hold of her around her midsection and flew up to another branch. He gently set Prue down onto the branch, but kept a firm hold on the other owl. "I assume you still have some business with this owl here, don't you?" he asked Prue, looking at the owl. "I take it you've met this one before, and I guess you were kind enough to spare him that time," he added, looking back at Prue. He didn't outwardly show it, but he was quite intrigued by this Barn Owl now and wanted to know more about her. For a former-Guardian she had shown herself to be quite capable of fighting on her own, which was always an admirable trait. He personally didn't like having to rely too much on others, it was vastly more important to be able to handle yourself on your own than to be able to work within a group. Prue had shown to be capable, which earned her some respect and admiration from him.
((Then I'll go ahead and give Gabjas something to respond to))

(Btw, Prue got hit by the Dragonpowder too, so technically she should be plummeting to the ground right now, much like Coryn. Not godmodding though XD)

Prue coughed violently, attempting to expel some of the odd powder, which had settled in her throat. She felt her vision begin to blur, and it started to cloud over with black speckles until she had completely lost control.
She let out a screech as she plummeted to the ground, thrashing about blindly. Her stomach churned, sent in a turmoil by the sensation of falling, until all-together the sensation stopped.
At first, she thought she must have hit the ground, and most likely died due to the lack of pain. But she soon realised that it was indeed another owl that had rescued her from sudden death. She fumbled for a grip on the branch she had been escorted to, and jerking her head every which way in an attempt to locate her saviour, began to sputter out a thank you.
"Oh my Glaux, I would have died! Dartmont, i-is that you?" she babbled. A wave of relief came over her as the darkness blocking her vision slowly began to recede like a thick fog rolling back from whence it came. The blurred image of the Great Horned perched before.
Before she could react in any other way, Prue flung her wings around Dartmont, locking him a tight squeeze. "I would be dead if you hadn't-" she broke off, for there was no need for her to complete her sentence.

Dartmont was a bit taken back by Prue's reaction, it had been a while since he had allowed another owl to touch him like that, but he didn't feel the need to recoil from her, so he accepted her wings around him... or more like half way around and put his own wing around Prue slightly. He used his other wing to gently wipe the powder out of her eyes and off her face to clear her vision up. "Please, you don't need to thank me for that. I'm not about to let a pretty girl like you just plummet to the ground and injure yourself," he replied to her, not quite realizing he had called her pretty. "I must say I am quite impressed by your abilities, it's been a long time I've come across a female owl capable of pounding another owl like that," Dartmont added with a slight smile before he turned to look at the owl that he held in his talons. "So, what would you like me to do with this filth?" Attempting to kidnap owlets was not tolerated at all and, had he run into some other owls, probably wouldn't still be alive right now. Very, very few would forgive such a transgression, the memory of the Pure Ones from years ago still lingered among owls.

(My creative block is still here *sighs* but I can post with Elissya if you two want me to. If not, continue to allow Prue and Dartmont's moment XD)

Prue was glad to see Dartmont had not been terribly displeased with her sudden embrace, she had been slightly worried he would pull away from her wings in disgust or contempt, but he only resisted momentarily as if in shock of her actions. She lowered her wings from his sides, folding them at her own.
She blinked several time in an attempt to expel the remainder of the strange powder the owl had dropped above her from her eyes. Truthfully, she had not been listening to Dartmont, she was simply mesmerized by his voice and hadn't thought to pay any heed to what he was saying. That was, until he said pretty. She turned to him, trying to mask her blatant awe, for he was calling her pretty. Not the beautiful night sky, or the flush forest of Ambala No, he thought she was pretty, and for some reason she could not quite grasp, that meant a lot to her.
He soon changed the topic though, to Coryn, whom she believed was still suffering from the powder. "Hmm... let him go. With a warning. And a message."
"To tell the Pure Ones to lay off this forest, or else."

Dartmont nodded and look down at the Barn Owl he still held in his talons. He lifted up off the branch and with a forceful swing of his talons, he tossed the owl onto the branches of the opposite tree. "Consider yourself lucky, in the talons of other owls you probably wouldn't even be breathing right now," Dartmont remarked to him. "But if we spot you in this forest again, I can assure you restraint will not be used again." Dartmont let out a hoot as a warning before he turned to look at Prue.
"I think we're going to need a little something extra to get all that stuff out of your face. There's a nice stream nearby that can do the trick, if you are so inclined," Dartmont remarked to her, a subtle and yet not-too subtle invitation to fly away into privacy with him.
He was quite intrigued now to talk to this Barn Owl, she was probably the first from outside Ambala that he had encountered in a long, long time and had shown herself to be very capable of taking care of herself, even against a Pure One. He couldn't resist the urge if he tried, something was forming between the two of them, Dartmont's long-dormant heart was starting to beat again, excited by this beautiful Barn Owl.

(GreatHorned and I agreed that we will step out of this thread from now on, so unless the others would like to continue, I believe this is complete.)
