"the owls" would imply that everyone involved in GoG would have to RP their characters differently which could be interesting but I'm not sure how everyone would feel about that, instead why not effect one or a few influential owls?

Edit: There may be something underground but superficially no there isn't a river going into their territory.

We could ask everyone how'd they'd feel about it. If everyone or almost everyone likes it we could do it and if some people do and and don't like it we could come up with a way around it.

Everyone in the great tree, or so assume that somewhere from it will find it, would be effected if we went through with it that way, meaning that other kingdoms could take advantage of this... actually maybe an enemy kingdom planted the item for a GoG owl to find... still if they are evil perhaps the plan could backfire and instead of fighting among themselves they set their sights on the enemy as well as the other kingdoms. This would also allow multiple kingdoms to join the event. I think that NPC wise a majority of the tree should be effected that way it be optional for someones character to be effected, this will also create two perspectives to the event. Those searching the solution and those who are living with the ill effects of the artifact.

Edit: A new faction might even come from this X3. Made up of those who chose to remain uncured/ was unable to be cured.

By the way, while we are speaking about events I have an idea about one of the big ones that you're going to make. How about in a big one, the shrieks threaten to terrorize the owl kingdoms and St.Aggies, the Pure Ones, and the Guardians team up to fight them off. Just a thought.

The shrieks are all either, insane, moonblinked, loners, or factioned among the owls... in other words not sure how that would play out.

Edit: Actually the ones still in the shriek lands could be disgusted with the shrieks who joined the owls. This way it could be a part 2 of sorts to the upcoming event.

This is a great idea. I'd be honoured if I coud join in. But after reading everything I could get my hands on about Shrieks I still don't get the idea. Please don't think I am dimwitted, but can you explain the concept to me?
