She may not have hunted for all that long, but that still didn't justify the sad amount of meat in her stomach. The small vole that she had managed to snag up at the last moment felt like it was caught in her throat. Somehow she had convinced herself that those tiny bones which were jutting out from underneath its pelt had wedged itself firmly in place. Poor, poor creature... didn't have enough meat on it to even feed itself... let alone me! Tahni mused to herself as her eyes gazed out to where she was hunting.
"I should go back... get more food." The tawny owl mumbled to herself, but her body refused to listen to those words, standing perfectly still at its safe distance. Black eyes blinked slowly as her head twisted for her to scan the area. There was something there, that much she was sure of. Maybe it was another owl. A really big one. Somehow she doubted that. As silly as it sounded, she was positive that even that vole (safely tucked away in her stomach) knew that something different was there. She tipped her head to the side before shaking it to clear that silly thought. "That place gives me the creelies..."

Having decided without the rule of any but her own Belzaphei woke the owlets while it was still dusk "Wake my beloveds we need to hurry if we want to catch it" Eyes out of focus and feathers ruffled from a well rested night one small Tyto spoke up "Catch what mama?" Her grin would have reached her ears if she were not a bird, even so she gave him a delighted whole hearted chuckle before patting him on the head and winking "well if you doddle here you'll never know will you?"
Her smiled remained intact as she pulled a few of her soldiers from their training, they had already been up since twilight as per usual "You there, solider, gather a few others and meet me in my quarters."
He did as he was told bringing with him Two young adults such as himself "Reporting in Ma'am" Her eyes danced with amusement as she raised her head in a playfully condescending manner "I can see that soldier." Her left wing extended to her right where her owlets were blissfully unaware of their futures, tugging gentle at one another and letting out the cutest battle screeches one ever heard "Carry our next generation to Silverviel, I will shortly follow.
One gruffly soldier found her tongue to be sharp, questioning the High Tyto's will "b..but Ma'am there is nothing of use to us there, one might think you want to make them soft" Her expression went from joyous to threatening as she arched her head over the other female, "Soft Tyto's are of no use to us, if anything I find tougher birds" she eyed the meat of the soldier's throat while running a sole talon down it "more... delectable"
Her hardened gaze immediately dissipated as she gave a cock of her head signaling that the soldier who did not know her place would not be accompanying them on this or any other unofficial expedition. Without so much as a sound, aside from the shuffling of claws on stone, carrying her own load with care they took off for Silverviel.
OOC: She wont cause any trouble, so no worries :3, she refrains from violence to other owls in front of her owlets unless someone threatens or harms them.

It was only by a pure stroke of luck that Tahni managed to spot a small grouping of owls flying closer and closer to Silverveil. She watched as the group grew larger and larger, butterflies of anxiety fluttering throughout her body. Was she excited? Or was she nervous? In the end, it didn't matter. Company all the same, right?
Her neck stretched forward as her eyes strained to make sense of the owls heading her way. Are those...? She blinked, neck relaxing back into its usual position as she beat her wings, rising up into the air with heavy flaps. The tawny owl circled the small area for a brief second, descending just a minute later on another branch set a few ways off. She squirmed a bit, trying to get more comfortable on the skinny branch before she deemed it comfortable enough. Now all that is left is to wait for their arrival.

Scanning the horizon for any possible specs of danger, other than the one she was seeking out, she swooped down to a thicket and while hovering over its twisted weaves and gnarly thorns she released the two owlets she was holding with her scaled feet.
They both grasped between the thorns on instinct and did not once consider how reckless or badly it could of ended, they merely awaited further instruction. Her soldiers were not nearly as bold as she was and gently placed, after descending down in what was to Bel painfully slow circles the owlets in their care in hallows. She would get at them later for acting like pansy vultures, for now it was time for the lesson to begin.
"Fabled Ones as some of you know to be tales and others to be real, are becoming an expanding part of our future. It has come to my attention that without their generous assistance we would lose so many of those precious to our gizzards and basic survival." Her words become sarcastic when she talked about them as if they were willing allies although it retained its smooth tone.

Apprehension was the one word to describe what Tahni felt as she watched those soldiers settle down after making a few perfect circles. There were no owls that she knew of that came out to a peaceful place with... guards. It was just unheard of. She hobbled further into the shade, the branch creaking underneath her weight and she cursed the noise inside her mind. Quiet Branch, I'm not that heavy. Once she was safely tucked out of site, hidden by the leaves hanging over her head did Tahni realize that a story was being told. A story that made absolutely no sense to her. Fabled Ones? They're not real... what's she talking about?

The deep brown Tyto pretended not to hear the unmistakably sound of a branch in use as she continued to educate. "Although it is regrettable some of the Fabled Ones will not be swayed and therefore as a threat must be eradicated." she nodded to the sun as it rose as if they were old unspoken friends "You all will act as a direction after I lure it in, do not even for a moment relax or think ourselves the only hunter tonight." The soldiers stood meekly behind her ready to follow her steps and if be it flight pattern "what are you imbeciles looking at? I said all didn't I? Well then start looking appetizing and protect my babies!" She let a blood curdling shriek, she is mimicking a dying or wounded animal, quite ironic really as it was a Wayward Shriek that she was after. She mentally prepared herself for what was to come, or what she hoped would, as she was going to have to use wit instead of brute force as per usual to even stand a chance of taking the beast down, it was risky but she be lying if she said it didn't bring a rush to her chest cavity and a thrill throughout her entire body.

The branch bounced one last time as Tahni pushed off from where she was, fluttering just to the other side of the tree to avoid the glare of the rising sun. She landed in a small hollow, nestled herself into it, and still struggled to make sense of what she was hearing. That owl... was she just crazy? A bit out of it maybe or was she really onto something? It was obvious she was in a position of power, but other than that...
Tahni flinched, the shriek of the broody reaching her sensitive ears. She wilfed a bit, slipping just a bit more into the empty hollow. Not good, not good, not good, not good. Kept playing over and over in her mind like those bothersome songbirds those high-pitched and repetitive songs that just had to be heard every time the sun shone on them. "Oh Glaux..."

Sasha flew high in the sky she had been following the group of pure ones hoping for something new. She couldn't see anything due to her rapid possiblties. Ahe swooped down lower and ended up stuck in the thicket. "Greatglaux! What was that." She said, pulling herself out. She clung onto a branch and froze seeing the massive body of the high tyto. "Uh oh." She mutterd under her breath. Her gizzerd felt stuck in her throut. I have to say something! She thought. "Greatglaux! I'm so sorry I ran into the amazing high tyto." She said in a mocking voice.

The High Tyto would have offered a far wittier comeback if her call wasn't returned with a vile screech just then, still before taking to the now blue and cream skies she threw back the smaller owls nasty hastened words with her own eerily gentle retort "Oh look children the lowly whet- owl has found her voice." she ended her comment with the smuggest tone she could muster, after all what better bait then a snotty little owl. As her wings outstretched she turned her head in the direction of the Tawny owl, she didn't say anything but she did acknowledge her presence.

She was torn between two emotions right at that moment when she saw that small owl dart out of the sky and smash right into the thicket. Oh she was torn between rushing out to help that poor owl, but when she tried it dawned on Tahni that she was stuck. Stuck in the hollow with barely any wiggle room. But she soon realizeed that it was a gift from Glaux when that owl opened her mouth and made that snide remark to who Tahni realized was now the High Tyto. Tahni has never been more happy to be stuck.
She sucked in her gut, the High Tyto's voice speaking at the moment, as her talons scrambled against the ridges of the wood, and her wings worked to pull their owner out. The tawny owl found it much easier to pull herself out when she saw the dark-feathered barn owl's gaze was fixed on her. And so she stretched her wings and flew to yet another tree, landing on a branch with particularly droopy leaves. It didn't hinder her view of the other owls though.

Sasha smirked to the owl's words. "Well, I'm a hire claw ma'am. At least I'm more prettier than you!" She said, in a brave tone. "Now I'll be on my way and you can go back to playing with your little zombies." She said, realizing she had a great story to tell. Even though she might be hired by this owl she didn't care. She flew up in the sky, landed on a tree. She had a clear view of them still and she blended in perfectly into it. "Now. Will I have to fight or flight?"

She didn't get to the position she was today or held onto it thus far because of her weak senses, in fact they were quite attuned and heightened. She closed her eyes, her smirk becoming devilish, the imbecilic owl took the bait. As branches could be heard snapping nearby she knew that the annoying pest had been noticed by a crazed Fabled One. It would have gone flawlessly, the Shriek would have went after the noisy nuisance for sure and in turn would ignore her and her charge, if only one of her owlets hadn't spoken up "We are here of our own free will twit and at least our mother isn't a pudgy snitch" loudly no less for the entire forest to hear. She gritted her beak and let out an exasperated sigh, she was looking forward to witnessing the whet-owls demise, crafty and quick as she may be the only way to get away from a Shriek is to kill it, but now instead she had to defend her young, oh well she always did enjoy a fight where she didn't know the outcome. She prepared to wing just as said Shriek broke through the trees and judging from the saliva dripping from his jagged beak she found a wild and evidently hungry one.

The large snow owl's feather tips rippled gently across the now cream sky. He had been flying, for some time now, alone toward silverviel. He had heard from his slipgizzle, who had been placed near the Pure ones nests, that The High Tyto Belzaphei had left with some guards and two owlets only a bit of time ago. With determination etched on his face he drifted downward slowly as the glorious sight of Silverveil came into view. He was on a mission, and none that his supervisiors or his own liuetenant needed to be aware of. The only subject he would ever share with one now from his flock, Shreiks.
Luckily, thanks to the Ga'hoolian slipgizzle he had gotten all the information he needed to bring the other kingdoms down to the lowly ashes they should have continued to thrive on the past moons. He had also undoubtedly enjoyed the murder of said slipgizzle at well. Somewhat refreshing to the Ablah General. Chuckling lightly from his reminisent of the slipgizzle's death his golden gaze fell upon a tree in which the High Tyto and what seemed to be her owlets and two unknown owls. Huffing loudly into the dry copper-rose rain air he glided down lightly on a drifting wind. Finally coming into earshot he could slightly make out Belzaphei's light retorts to the Ga'Hoolian Owl & the rogue slipgizzle, which he now was able to make out at close quarters.
The owl landed almost silently on a nearby branch, excluding the faint clanking of his helmet and feet armor. The male owl tilted his head to hear the conversation when out from the lower portion of trees shot a crazed shriek. "Holy Glaux!" the seering thought passed quickly through the Ablah General's mind. The shriek, its eyes partially glazed over, its feathers grundged and his body scarred bolted from the trees and straight for the High tyto and her guards. Launching himself off the branch and within mere inches of plucking one of the owlets from between the guards, Nymbus wracked his talon armor across the Shrieks eyes causing it to scream in agonizing pain. But that wasn't about to stop a shriek on a voyage for food...
[ooc: I hope thats alright ^^]

"Oh Glaux, what is that?"
If there was one thing that she was expecting, it was definitely not an odd beast with the head of an owl and the body of a cat to crash through the bushes. She could feel her heart stall for a moment, just at the mere sight of such a thing, before it kick-started back into life, a frantic and unsettling pace. Her talons' grip on the branch tightened as it made a beeline dash towards the High Tyto and her owls, but then the shriek suddenly reared back, screaming. It was then Tahni realized that another owl had appeared, one that looked like the Ablah General.
She saw an open opportunity, left her post and flew directly towards the shriek that was still trying to locate its prey through bloody eyes. Or maybe it was looking for the owl that destroyed its eyes. Tahni didn't really care as she swooped over its head and her talons raked the beast's head-- could feel the warm blood on her feet-- before she circled back to the tree she just left, her small body quivering. "What is that?!"

Sasha's eyes flew wide as the shriek went for the owlets. She flew over and ripped down its belly. Then it attacked her and Sasha fell to the ground. A scar over her eye bled and she mutterd. "Great glauz! I'll kill that thing!" she shot from the ground and gripped her talons on its neck.
sorry so short
